So, I finally have a moment to compose this review. This place is close to work and my first visit there was very pleasant. I even had a locally made granola bar that I gave a shout out to on IG. Outstanding! (Ohelyeah is the brand, all organic). Great tea as well.
So, let's move on to my second visit. It was horrendous!! I wanted something healthy for breakfast and I knew they had bowls. They were pricey, but it was Friday, so I decided to treat myself. The wait staff this go around was unapologetically rude! The dark haired young fellow who took my order had an attitude with me for no reason. Not only did they not have all the ingredients for the bowl, they charged me the same $15 (including the tiniest version of tropicana apple juice). He never handed me the apple juice and never even made eye contact with me when I was standing at the counter attempting to urge him to me. Once he came back, I had to tell him that I wanted a bag AND ask for the Apple juice thay I just paid for 15 mins ago! His response was "you could've gotten it". I said "didn't know that was an option." The other girl never looked at me who was working with him. To top it all off, his hair was in my container!! I will NEVER visit this place again!!! Train your help to be more curteous. Especially with ridiculous prices for a basic meal. AND the squash tasted like it went...
Read moreWe are visiting from out of town for a family reunion, and I was really excited to find a local coffee shop to support. I walked in and it was decently busy, but nothing overwhelming (I also work in a cafe in the heart of a city so I’m not just blowing smoke). I ordered the special, a vanilla caramel cold brew with cold foam, and asked for cream, and a small iced latte with their honey cinnamon vanilla syrup. I asked for my latte a little sweeter. The cashier looked at me very vacantly and stared at the screen for a while. I thought he might be new so I wanted to give him as much time as possible. When my order came up, the cashier gave us a cold brew with no foam or cream, but told us where the cream was which I was totally fine with, and I figured they just forgot the cold foam which I really wouldn’t be upset about. Then my latte came out and it was hot. When they set it down I said “oh” and that is my fault because I should’ve said immediately that I ordered ice but it was just the first thing out of my mouth. The barista just looked at me and then immediately walked away. Being a cafe worker I didn’t feel like asking to have my order remade, so I just took it. While I was leaving I heard a barista telling the cashier that they were out of the special and that he needs to be telling people that, so it was just an all around very...
Read moreI've been going to this place almost everyday for the past 3 months. It's 2 mins away from my house, it's convenient and I try to support local businesses. Honestly today is the last time I give them my money. I order the same drink everyday. The drink taste different based on the person who make it. Don't they have a receipt for each drink so the employees can follow it? It's always the lottery, one day it's good and the other day it's disgusting. Sometimes they forget the flavor. It's expensive One of the employee (I think the manager) is always staring at me. It's uncomfortable. He looks upset and annoyed. Several times they would forget my order. I come, order and pay. I wait and nobody is making my drink. Other customers come after me and they have their order right away. I have to go and ask if my order is ready. That's when they realize that they forgot about my drink. No apologies. This is not the first time. Today, the guy behind the coffee machine was making his own drink (cold brew) and he was talking to the young girl while she was doing some craft. The manager went behind helping the owner. Honestly I'm happy to support local businesses but experiences like that...
