I have probably only written 2 bad reviews in my 40 + years of life so it has to be pretty bad for me to take the time to do this. The last two times before tonight, the experience was not as usual, but it wasn’t off enough to complain. This last experience though, it was pretty awful! The food took forever to come but we waited patiently. Once it got to our table it was not hot or even warm for that matter. My husbands plate…. The fried catfish was as if it had been sitting for a while, the fries were not even close to warm, the mashed potatoes were room temperature and even hard around the edges. My plate…. The ribeye was ok I guess.. it was edible, but for that cut of meat, you want it to be more than just edible, but it was tolerable. My potatoes were like my husbands.. hard around the edges and room temperature. The corn was good flavor but also room temperature. My plate was tolerable but again, a $25 meal should atleast be hot. Anyways, the waitress was leaving another table and I think she realized from my husbands face and the way his fish clumped apart when he broke a piece off, and how we was feeling each piece that it was cold. He didn’t say anything about the fries, just the fish. She took the fish back and said she would have it re made. Nearly 15 minutes later, while heading to another table she said “your fish has about 5 more minutes on it, I’ll bring it out as soon as it’s done. It shouldn’t be much longer”. Twenty minutes go by and still no fish. By that time I was done with my meal and ready for a to go bag. She finally walks by again and we get her attention. She said “they never brought it to your table? I don’t know what’s wrong. I’ll go check.” Another 15 minutes go by and we get her attention while she was heading to another table and she said “I gave them your plate to bring to the table. Where did they go?” It was so ridiculous that I told her that there was no point in bringing the fish now. She said she would go talk to her manager about the situation. Another 10 minutes go by and she finally brings our check. She said that the manager removed the fish dinner from our check. I asked her since she never brought me a drink refill, if I could have one to go. She apologized and complained that it was not her fault. That she was given three tables when she shouldn’t have been (not sure if I heard that right but no accountability). Also, we were there for about an hour and 45 minutes in total and while everything else was going on, never received our refills. She removed the fish from the bill but my husbands dinner was two cold fries and a bowl of room temperature mashed potatoes. Just very disappointing. We have been coming here for years. We live closer to longhorn but travel here because we always liked the food better. Even during covid, we would make the trip for takeout here. I had a choice of 3 restaurants to celebrate my birthday with my husband and I chose to come back here. Definitely regret that decision. It’s just not the same as it use to be. The food, the service and I never knew that employees take their breaks in the bathroom. It was pretty awkward using the bathroom while an employee is on speaker phone. Read moreI'd like to start off by saying I absolutely love Texas Roadhouse. With that said, my experience at this location was absolutely horrible. I put my name online. checked in and said I should have a 50 to 60 minute wait. After an hour and a half, I walked in to find out what's going on and was advised it would be at least another 15 to 30 minutes because they're running a little behind. Needless to say, we got seated an hour and 45 minutes and not the quoted 50 minutes to an hour.
I should have listened to my intuition and left before we even got seated, but I was really craving Texas Roadhouse and a steak. We got seated, and it took our server another 15 minutes to greet us. She finally greets us, takes our drink order, proceeds to walk away, and goes to another table, which was a larger party without putting our drink order in or delivering our drinks. With that said, another 7 minutes roughly passed by, and another server finally came up to us and asked if we had even been helped yet. I advised we did, and she went on her way. Finally, about 10 minutes later, our drinks make it to the table, unfortunately not the way we asked. I asked for two sweeties I received, and my daughter asked for a raspberry lemonade, Instead, received a raspberry sweet tea. My wife ordered some sort of mixed drink but received a totally different mixed drink We're not much into the complaining, so we didn't say anything. We ordered an appetizer, which was absolutely delicious. My salad came out, and I had asked for an additional Caesar dressing, which I did not receive. When the server finally came back, I informed her I needed that additional Caesar dressing, to which she said not a problem and apologized. Another 5 minutes go by, and she's dropping off the Caesar dressing, and within the next 1 minute, our main course has arrived at the table. If there's one thing that upsets me more than anything else, it's when I have to eat my Pre meal salad along with my meal, but I'll deal with it, not a big deal.
I ordered a 16 oz sirloin cooked medium rare. The steak I received was probably a 12 oz but hey it is what it is I realized stuff like this happens I didn't say anything but the steak was well over done and probably one of the absolute toughest states that I've ever had I didn't say anything because again I don't like complaining but to say the least for $100 we were very dissatisfied with our meal. We were rarely checked on by our server a manager never came to check on us and we did not feel like we received any sort of attention because the server was too busy trying to pay more attention to the large party that she had. We waited for 2 hours after getting our drinks, we had to get up and go find people to get us bread and take our order as nobody ever came to our table. After waiting aforementioned 2 hours, we requested to just pay for our drinks and leave, and the manager came out, upset at us saying the food was almost done and we said no we'd rather leave. On my friends birthday, we couldn't even get service. Fast forward to today; against my better judgement, I decided to return to this awful, disgraceful eating establishment. All I wanted was buttered rolls for my wife whom just had surgery and could only eat soft foods. After entering the front of the store and placing my order, the wait staff looked at me like deer-in-the-Headlights. They said the lady at the to-go counter was outside, and they had no idea what to do or how to take my order. Mind you, this is after my last visit where I also couldn't get my order taken. After being told to go to the to-go counter and waiting 30 minutes, I went back around to find staff and they told me to go back again. When I went back, the waitress from the front was in there, and she said "I'll be honest, I have no idea how to get your order onto here" and flipped the laptop around for me to enter my own order and card information. Completely ridiculous. An employee so incompetent they can't even do the most basic function of taking my order or money. What do you pay these people for? If I was a CEO I'd be in this restaurant myself taking orders. Plankton himself has better customer service. After finally placing my own order for myself, she had the audacity to ask me to place a 15% tip. WHAT? A tip to myself? I'll expect my paycheck in the mail. After getting the text to pick up my food after another 10 minutes (MIND YOU AGAIN THIS IS ONLY AN ORDER FOR A DOZEN ROLLS) there is once again nobody at the counter. When I went back around to the front door, they were laughing and pointing like "Hey, look at this idiot that's trying to get his food". I've never been through so much trauma and degradation trying to order a simple side. I've never had such poor service where I've had to enter my own order and card information.
