Wendy's — Restaurant in Virginia Beach

My partner and I came to Wendy’s for lunch around 2pm. We saw online and in the app that this location had the dining room open, but when we got there after placing our order in the mobile app, it turned out to be closed. Which, honestly, no problem. My partner and I have ordered and eaten in the car before.

However, as soon as I got to the speaker, that’s when things turned sour. From the get go the woman over the speaker was very rude, especially after I made it clear I could barely hear her over the construction going on next store. I am hard of hearing already, and when I attempted to clarify the name on the order, she very rudely said “you don’t have to yell!” I’m sorry but you asked me to clarify the name on the order? I can barely hear you so I’m assuming you can’t hear me.

When I got to the drive they window, I was treated very rudely,. They just handed me two bags without telling me if they were for me, and when I asked I got the silent treatment. I was so embarrassed . I have issues with hearing and they were treating me like I had done something wrong. I was holding back tears as we drove away from the window, only to find out later that a few of our items were missing and that our order was wrong.

I understand times are tough now, and that customer service workers are dealing with some of the worst people (I’ve dealt with them too) But please remember that some of us are just trying to get out lunch and go. I’m sorry if you were having a terrible day, but please don’t take it out on others who struggle with everyday things...

horrible management. it's noon and there's like 1-2 cars every 5 minutes. i ordered a biggie bag, 2 large chillies, and a large fry. they forgot my barbeque sauce, and when i came back around the manager was on the speaker saying with the rudest attitude in the universe talking so fast i couldnt even understand her through their staticy speaker, "we're short staffed right now, only got 2 people on the floor and i can't do everything myself so u gotta come into my lobby" and when i asked her to repeat herself bc it all sounded like pure static, she put on even MORE of an attitude! "did you not understand what i just said??"

anyway, when i came in with my receipt and told them to get my large fry, i see all 3 of them shaking their heads like i just ruined their lives. they didnt even fill the fries up, i ordered a large and it had the amount of like a medium. they STILL forgot my barbeque sauce so now im eating dry nuggets and dry fries. worst dang wendy's ive been to in my life. yall cant act like 3 people isnt more than enough to run the 3 cars that show up every 5 min, im in the parking lot rn and aint nobody even here. don't take ur short-staffed problem out on me!

forgot to mention they made us wait 10 minutes for the food to come out and it was ice cold when it got to us.

AND I JUST REACHED FOR MY DRINK AND REALIZED THEY FORGOT...

A girl that worked there must've borrowed someone's H3 & was feeling herself because she had the nerve to lay on her horn at me before she parked. I had just went through the drive-thru & had to pull over into a spot quickly because I had a 15 month old baby screaming for drink & nuggets in the backseat and my contact was falling out of my eye.

Acknowledged, I pulled into the spot crooked & left my car running while I fixed my eye & took his nuggets out the bag, and here she pulls behind me like "HOOOONNNKKKK" not "bee beep" like I was in her spot! Not today honey. I proceed to figure out what exactly is this young lady's problem & how she would like to go about resolving it .. This b*h gets out her car finally & that's when I realize she's not just a rude customer bur she's actually an EMPLOYEE lmao wrong move sweetie.

I called the manager because I'm petty & the manager apologizes and says she will comp my next meal. Ok, that's fine. It's not her fault. She also said she didn't know which employee it was because none of them drive a car like that. No s**t. She's an hourly Wendy's employee.

Lord Jesus what is wrong with these children today?! Humbled her H3 wanna be driving a** quick.

The other lady's were fine tho .. Laughing and talking to my son. Just that one girl had her braids too tight today...
