Well, I tried to email the restaurant instead of posting, but they fail to even respond so I will share with the public the dissatisfaction of their facility, management and service. A group of us came for a hosted party and they are not equipped to handle a gathering.
(1) During the hottest time of the year, the air conditioning was out and there was no mention to the guests or notice on the website (ie. Facebook) that I noted to update us and it made for a very uncomfortable experience. The fans were inadequate in cooling the facility and breaking the muggy atmosphere.
(2) There was no host and no greeting at the door
(3) Waitresses were hidden. They wore dinghy black clothing without any logos or name tags. They did not welcome us, introduce themselves and we all had to ask around who the server was. My server went missing for 20-30 mins at a time.
(4) Attitudes were poor all around and no one wore a smile. Even the security guard decided she wanted to start yelling at people and fighting.
(5) Due to the long wait in figuring out who was serving my 2-top table, my partner and I were ready to order when we came in contact with the server and We ordered 2 drinks, an app and an entree. Besides the fact that after 10 mins of placing the order, the waitress came back to review the entire order again. It's 4 items and written down! 10 mins later, drinks came out. When the entree came out soon after, the server couldn't even identify the dish nor who ordered it so it went past us and then back to the kitchen. With COVID going around, my dish should not travel that much to get back to me.
(6) Servers did not check in about water refills. I was even overlooked when they placed pitchers around on certain tables.
(7) Once we finished our entree, we wanted another round of drinks, but not before realizing we still hadn't received the appetizer. We cancelled the appetizer and it took over 40 mins and 3 reminders to the waitresses (because ours was not readily available) about it. When my second drink arrived, it was in a plastic cup! I did not come to sit for dinner and drink out of a plastic cup! This is not McDonalds. Also, there was a fly floating at the top of the rim and ice was melting.
(8) I finally ordered a dessert and after a prolonged amount of time, I asked about it and all of a sudden, there are no desserts!
This was my first, and last, visit to 2910 Kitchen - we came as a part of a large mature birthday group to have dinner downstairs under reservations.
There were several other issues my party recognized, but since that was not my first hand recollection, I will not speak on it.
I truly hope that for an establishment that is seemingly catered to a mature and black audience, a severe overhaul is considered to represent us in the area a...
Read moreI don't know if there's enough characters to capture our experience, but here goes nothing. We visited today for Sunday brunch to celebrate my friend's 33rd birthday. First off, there's security at the door, but they weren't checking for weapons, so their purpose was unclear. It would have made more sense for security to be outside, informing people of the entry fee, so guests could pay and enter after confirming payment and a security check.
The interior is aesthetically pleasing, but the service, processes, food and menu all need work. There seemed to be only two waitresses for the entire establishment. There's a bar both upstairs and downstairs, but only one food station, which was downstairs. Our party of nine (originally ten, but one guest left after waiting in that long food line) was seated upstairs. After going downstairs, we waited in line for about 45-50 minutes. The food was disappointing to say the very least. No one touched the French toast, which looked like sliced loaves of bread with caramel and fruit drizzled over it. The salmon croquettes were terrible, and the waffles tasted like cardboard. The sweet ladies making omelets did their best, but even those lacked salt and pepper. The fruit was floating in a large bowl of liquid—I didn’t even bother trying it. There weren’t any buffet attendants outside of the two woman making waffles, pancakes, and omelets, so after a while, all the dishes looked picked over and not very appetizing. Additionally, the tables provided did not comfortably seat ten people. Despite the padded seats along the wall, not everyone could reach the table, and some had to eat with plates in their laps. We even had to take an extra table to make it work.
I suggest the owners hold off on brunch until they can visit other establishments like 1799 for inspiration. Carving stations should be separate from the omelet and pancake stations, and the buffet should stand alone. It's a beautifully designed space, but their brunch experience was not well thought out. Our party left for a 4pm reservation at Caspi’s across the street.
I honestly want my...
Read moreOh, it's the promoters fault that you had bugs in the drinks. It's the promoters fault that your AC doesn't work and you lied to 200 people that it would be fixed for their event. It's the promoters fault you are not paying the servers there gratuity and keeping it from them. It's the Promoters fault your customers service as an owner is piss-poor. It's the promoters fault you can't find a chef to stay past 2 weeks. It's the promoters fault. The county won't allow load music to pass a certain sound decimal for county rules while having tenants above the venue. It's the promoters fault. 85 people walked out due to a lack of service and bad food quality. It's the promoters fault that the hookah is not cleaned properly and every flavor tastes the same. It's the promoters fault you didn't have enough staff to service 300 people at the brunch 2 weeks ago. It's the promoters fault you turn the DJ sound down randomly. It's the promoters fault you stayed open past 2am to try and make more money at the bar, and the county gave you a citation. It's the promoters fault you haven't returned customers' money back from the brunch that never got a chance to eat. Blame who you like 2910 kitchen & bar. But this business is not a promoters issue. From what I thought, it was a restaurant, not a nightclub. Even if it was, the owner needs to take full responsibility for running a better business. You should have listened to promoters. Maybe they knew more about the business than you thought.
☆☆UPDATE☆☆ How are you closed when you clearly had an event the next day. Why do you need to be closed for a month to fix a menu? Lol. Tell the truth, You had no chef, because you didn't pay them. you had no servers and very limited bar staff. You don't trust anyone, and you don't pay. You take from your employees and never honest. Eat some humble pie - wave the flag. You're done from...
