Abi Azteca Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Virginia

I am writing to formally report a deeply upsetting incident I experienced at your restaurant, Abi Azteca Grill & Bar. Unfortunately, this was the worst restaurant experience I have ever had, as I was treated with discrimination, hostility, and harassment by one of your employees who identified himself as “Israel.”

When I first arrived, I approached this employee to place an order. He refused to respond to me, and when I calmly repeated my request, he became aggressive. Concerned, I even asked if he was feeling unwell, but instead of clarifying, he cursed at me and threatened to take away the food from my hands if I did not leave.

I was shocked and asked to speak with the manager. He claimed to be the manager, though another woman later indicated she may have been the actual manager. Regardless, his behavior was unacceptable and unprofessional.

After leaving the restaurant to avoid further confrontation, this same individual followed me outside, attempted to take photos of me, and even pursued me into the nearby McDonald’s. At that point, I asked him to leave me alone, but he continued to harass me. For him to abandon his duties in your restaurant to engage in such behavior was both disturbing and dangerous.

This experience has caused me unnecessary stress and concern for my safety. No customer should ever be treated in this way. I strongly urge your management team to investigate this matter thoroughly and take appropriate action regarding this individual. His behavior does not reflect the standards of customer service or professionalism that any restaurant should allow.

If I do not receive confirmation that this matter is being taken seriously, I will be left with no choice but to pursue further steps.

Today I thought I would try some local Latin food and stopped by this restaurant. I noticed that the waitress charged me improperly so I flagged it for her.

She called the manager and he explained that due to the pandemic prices have increased. Which I understood but the menu reflected a different price. His response was “well if you’re going to make a big deal then fine we will give you a discount, we are in a pandemic DO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT IS, a pandemic?” He was so sarcastic and rude that it shocked me, then he just walks away after this.

Finally, I asked for the owners information so I can let them know how the restaurant was being managed and he said “nope I’m not giving you that information” by this point the customer service was so horrible I wasn’t event hungry and asked to cancel the order.

As I left he yelled after me “ Don’t ever come back here again!!”

I’m really just appalled. I hope by writing this review anyone who is attempting to dine here can be on the look out for Israel - the worst manager/human on plant earth with the absolute worst customer service in the history of customer serving.

Anyway, ugh...

TERRIBLE! STAY AWAY ! If I could give them less than 1 star I would give them negative- 5 ! My shoes stuck to the floor from the filth and grime. The server and " Manager " were obviously coked out of thier brains ! I do not care what is done in ones personal life, yet be able to take an order for 2 beers within 4 trips to the table! Not only was the place FILTHY the staff incompetent, yet they were rude as well! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY AT THIS POOR EXCUSE FOR A RESTAURANT! ! IF THE DINING AREA IS THAT FILTHY THAN I CAN ONLY IMAGINE WHAT THE KITCHEN LOOKS LIKE ! Of course I said something, these people acted like they were bothered by me and did not want my business! Well I will never soend a dime in here again ! Not only that but I will let the whole world know how dirty and filthy this place is. I wish I had the time to express just how bad my experience here was I will come back later...
