I was visiting DC for work and I was looking for some great Pakistani food (there is none where I live) and I got recommended this place by more than one person. Just outside all of the hustle and bustle in DC there is city kabob, and it was delicious! I ordered the mix grill platter, chicken biryani, the house special chickpeas and a butter chicken.
The lamb kabob in the mix grill was so full of flavor, the bone in chicken that accompanied the lamb was falling off the bone and full of flavor. The rice and chickpeas were the perfect complement to the protein heavy dish. Then to top it off- the naan. I’m not sure if they have a family recipe of naan but it blew me away- (you have to get the cilantro naan).
I loved the tea at the end- it was the perfect way to digest such a huge meal.
One thing I really enjoyed was the service- the gentleman up front taking my order took me on a trip to flavor town; and recommended everything mentioned above. This place truly is a gem- I am currently salivating at the thought of coming back- I think my job needs to send me to...

I don’t usually leave reviews, but this kabob place truly deserves the praise. From the moment I walked in, the service was warm and welcoming. The aroma of sizzling spices filled the air and instantly made me hungry.
I ordered the sizzling feast for 2 which was a mix Kabob of chicken and beef seekh , and every single bite was perfection. The chicken was juicy and flavorful, the lamb was tender and perfectly seasoned, and the beef kabobs had just the right amount of char. Even the rice was fragrant and fluffy — not just a side, but a star on its own. The fresh salad and garlic sauce tied the whole meal together beautifully.
Portions were generous, prices were more than fair, and the food came out quickly and hot. You can really tell they care about quality and consistency. I’ll definitely be coming back — and bringing friends!. Jay also told me that the have a lunch buffet weekdays 11am to 5pm and weekends 12pm to 10pm

Read moreI showed up on a Tuesday night and was the only guest for the 40 minutes while I ordered and dined. The service was fine, as the guy behind the counter took my order and also served as my waiter.
He was attentive during the meal checking on me, as needed. My wait was certainly reasonable for the order: Lamb Korma with rice and garlic naan. Now, I was stationed in England for four years, so I feel as though I know a thing or two about Indian food. I can tell you that the Lamb Korma was delicious even though it wasn't made with more of a coconut sauce but instead with almonds. What did surprise was the heat, even having asked for mild. The flavor was spectacular! The rice was good and fluffy. As for the naan, that was quite disappointing as it resembled frozen naan which I made one time my daughter and me. Overall 4 stars because of the service and as for the food, two out of three (as Meat Loaf...
