Tonight I went to my local Arby’s and an ordered a couple of sliders. (Small sandwiches for those unfamiliar with them.) After paying for my food the individual working the drive thru window asked me to pull my car into the parking lot and they would bring me my food. Fifteen minutes later, I am still waiting for my food so I go in to ask about it. Apparently it had been sitting on the counter for a while. The individual who said that they would bring out to me made some excuses about how they couldn’t bring it out, but someone else was supposed to. So I told them that I wanted a refund given how long my food was sitting there it was likely cold and not worth eating at this point. I asked them why customers are not allowed to stay in the drive thru line anymore and they had no explanation. They also said that a manager would have to do a refund and I would have to wait for them to come to do that. They also had no idea how long it would be before a manager would be available. Thankfully the manager only took a few minutes. They claimed they came to the parking lot, but didn’t see my car. There were only a couple of cars in the parking lot. But as they said, “Maybe the sun was in their eyes and they couldn’t see my car.” When I asked them why customers can no longer stay in the drive thru line they explained that they have a clock and there is a expectation that customers are served a certain amount of time and if this doesn’t happen it reflects negatively on the store. They didn’t go into what the specifics of that negativity were. They also explained that they are under staffed which made my experience a negative one. So here’s the situation, fast food places don’t pay people adequately for the work they do and so it’s difficult to fully staff places. They are expected to deliver food to customers in a timely manner and are in some way penalized for not doing this. So when they ask us to pull out of the drive thru line it’s creating a false impression of the business is running. The refund also will take 3-5 business days. Lots of hassle. I will not be pulling out of the drive thru line anymore. I encourage you to do the same, but at the end of the day do what your...
Read moreMy husband and I decided to grab a meaty-beefy dinner at Arby's after a long day at Water Country USA. Being a local resident of our 757 area (residing in Virginia Beach,) we dined at Arby's store number 8343 off Washington Highway June 24th, 2018 @8:18pm. Service from start to finish, (through the drive-thru) was absolutely phenomenal. When we pulled over to eat our food I personally told my husband that "this was the most beautiful half pound bacon beef and cheddar I had ever seen in my life." I literally took the time to admire such a massive piece of meat. The staff inside took the time to actually make our whole meal presentable, satisfying, and both the quality - quantity were hands down spectacular. All team members smiling, very professional, and the shift manager even gave my husband and I our meals after checking out with your stong drive-thru team. l with their Manors, and when we received our meaty meals. I personally knew we did not have to check the bag. Absolutely perfect visit! Next time we're in the Williamsburg area we will be sure to stop at this wonderful Arby's location. Five stars isn't enough I highly recommend 10 Stars if not more. Thank you Arby's team members for the meaty 757 superb...
Read moreUpdate: the interior has been updated and it's much nicer inside. This is an old building, which makes it feel dirty. But it was quite clean. The restrooms and dining room were well kept. I think it needs updating, though. There's a lot of fast food joints in this one area and anything updated will always get more business. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The guy getting my fries dropped the fry scoop and he went to wash it before using it again. So happy he took the time to do things the right way. I ordered the Italian meatball sub and beef and cheddar sandwich. Both were made neatly, without sauce dripping. They were hot and fresh. Great flavor for both. Their curly fries are always good and taste even better when dipped in the Arby's sauce. I ordered a medium combo and the drink is a larger sized medium. Good value. They offer more things than just roast beef, I really like the...
