I came for a quick takeout lunch after my appointment, as soon as I stepped foot in the door I was greeted with a warm smile. So great customer service, I wanted something simple so I ordered a chicken cheesesteak with fries and it was beyond simple. It was hands down one of the best chicken cheesesteaks I’ve had in a long time. Thank you for making my lunch memorable, I would recommend and will return. The only thing that has nothing to do with this restaurant was the trash out in the parking lot before entering it seems there is some work being done to a restaurant or shop next door that can put a slight damper on the atmosphere. I just finished eating here about 20 mins ago. I'm not Lebanese, but I'm familiar with the culture enough to know what a good falafel tastes like, & can confidently say that the falafel sandwich here at Basil is the best I've had in the entire DMV area, & it all comes down to the freshness of the ingredients. Most other falafel sandwiches I've tried fall short in 1 of 3 departments: lack of crunch, taste, or enough herbs/pickled veggies & tahini sauce to bring it all together.
