Bob Evans — Restaurant in Virginia

Very rarely does bad service have me walk out but today I could take NO MORE! We arrived at about 1215p the host, who looked like she could use a washer and dryer for her clothes sat our party of 5 promptly for a Sunday. WE sat for almost 15 minutes before she came to sit another table behind us and I asked her where our server was. She apologized left for another 3mins or so came back with an excuse and got our drink order (2 adult waters, Arnold palmer; tea/lemonade, and two kids chocolate milks) 10 minutes later she comes back with 2 adult waters, tea mixed with water (not lemonade) and says there's no milk. Ok? Lemonade? (Our server states they are out of lemonade, which answers why my tea is mixed with water, but not really).The server finally shows his face (Kevin) says he didn't know we were sat? But he looked at our table multiple times. He got our order since now we have sat for easily 40 mins and rattles off options like we are at auction (I barely understood my options). Another 20 mins later we watched later tables sat and with food. After letting the manager know what happens, she stares at me blankly (no remorse), checks her watch as if waiting over an hour for breakfast is acceptable, apologizes in a passive aggressive tone and I left. Hope throwing away a party of 5 order was worth it...RIDICULOUS!! Oh and maybe telling your staff to shower, and arrive in clean clothes may be nice too, let's not talk about the filthy looking cook with unkept facial hair and dirty clothes, or the waitress standing in the open kitchen alley picking the acne on her face!? Way to go Bob Evans, you are definitely on the do not eat list for poor service and filthy...

This is one of the most poorly-managed restaurants in the area. The place is literally managed by teenagers. Don’t believe me? Stop in for a visit and look at the staff.

We came on a very slow night - there were only about five other families eating, so we expected fast service. We were so wrong.

We stood at the entrance watching the staff stare at us waiting for someone to seat us. Finally a kid that looked maybe 15 came over and sat my family of 6 at a small 4-person booth before asking if we’d rather have a larger table. It went downhill from there.

They forgot to make an entire meal for one of my kids. They forgot the rolls for my wife’s meal. They never refilled drinks. The sweet tea tasted like sugar water. They were out of many things we asked for. We kept having to remind the waitress for simple things like butter and refills. We had five different people come to our table, so our requests got lost in the fray of miscommunication. To top it all off, the food was mediocre.

Then during checkout, I realized they added an extra item to my receipt that I didn’t order and up charged me for a replacement food item without informing me of the additional cost! Another teenager had no idea how to apply a gift card and was telling me I couldn’t use it because the price of my meal exceeded the gift card amount. Mind boggling. She had to get the manager (probably in her 20s) to help and then had to get another member to remove the item from my receipt.

I am never coming back. Everyone should stay away and wait for this location to disappear into history. It is shocking that this location is still able to keep...

We came for dinner on 4/28 about 450

The restaurant was pretty empty looked like there was one other table. We walked in it was 5 of us, 3 adults 2 kids.

We were sat down, and no one came back for a lengthy period of time. By the time someone came we were all ready to order drinks and food because we had been waiting so long. It took about 10 mins to get our drinks. And even longer for the food.

We ordered piggy pancake with bacon and an extra side of scrambled eggs Mac and cheese and carrots A bacon cheeseburger with avocado Chicken dish And the hot Turkey

No napkins or silverware was given and with kids we needed napkins due to a drink spill so i had to go find someone who could give us napkins.

We figured we’d get a hot meal. Wrong. It took so long that It all was COLD. The green beans were browning….? The carrots had a funky taste so we didn’t eat them. My burger didn’t look anything like the picture it was a frozen hamburger patty it tasted fine but i wasn’t expecting that. * still no silverware** we had to ask 3 times.

We were never offered refills on drinks.

My son never received his eggs. When asked we were told it doesn’t come with the meal. I said that’s fine we still want the eggs. We waited and no eggs came. My son left hungry because we didn’t get a full meal but it took so long for the food in the first place we just said we will make you eggs at home.

For a place so dead and several people working sitting around doing nothing you’d think we would have had better service...
