Ku Tea Coffee & Tea Town — Restaurant in Virginia

The first thing I’m going to say: customer service was subpar. I wish there was a level BELOW subpar because that was how bad I was treated. This was my first time coming here so I wanted to ask what the staff recommended. But from the time I walked in to the time I left, the two girls were giggling and chatting and totally oblivious to my GREETING TO THEM…see a picture of them below for reference…they remained with their backs turned to me while chatting nonstop to each other😣. When they gave me my drinks, they mumbled some words…otherwise I might as well have been invisible. 🫥🫥🫥🫥ON THE OTHER HAND props to the shop for cute and clean aesthetic and feel, beautiful decor and lighting, and easy digital ordering systems…I don’t like the fact that the drinks came out too sweet and there was no option to lessen the sweetness…we had to throw the strawberry matcha away because of the amount of syrup put inside😢😭 so 10 dollars wasted. Also it would be nice if they have dairy free options. WITH THAT BEING SAID I highly enjoyed the flavor of my taro shake with ube cheese foam! Was just passing through this area so I probably will not go again…but I SINCERELY HOPE the way customers are treated improves to include friendly helpful...

I felt so so bad for the employees.

For about 10 minutes while I was there, there was a young white male working solo, answering the guests’ questions, making the drinks, and everything all on his own… with a full lobby. A young Latina lady came in and clocked in to help him eventually.

But still, two individuals working an evening shift in the summer is terrible. It was SO busy. And due to the lack of employees, the drinks were taking 15+ mins. This is unacceptable.

I even witnessed multiple customers stopping the workers just to ask when their drink would be ready. Because it was taking so long. I don’t blame the employees at all. It’s the owners fault. You need to be able to schedule ENOUGH people to handle the rush… at this time in the evening everyone is off of work… kids are out of school so people will be coming to get their cold drinks.

Nobody wants to wait 20minutes for ONE drink.

And then on top of that, it was SO SO hot !! I was literally sweating in the cafe and miserable. I even contemplated going to sit in the ac of my car. I cannot imagine how their employees feel.

Owners: please don’t be cheap. you need to get your ac working and schedule more employees for the evening shift at least during...

I absolutely love this place! the first time i went it was because i was accidentally an hour early to my dentist and they were right there Definitely get the Horchata Milk Tea w brown sugar boba, I got that the first time and knew i’d be getting it again and again and again, this time i wanted to splurge and add crème brûlée! They had a dubai strawberry chocolate bowl and i was so excited to try because i had seen them all over social media and it was so good!! they had a CROC. CROFFLE, that could either be filled with nutella or cheese, and it was such a fan experience, both times have been fantastic The little art on the wall has all these cute easter eggs and it was so fun to talk to the staff about, Only thing is that if you get a couple of drinks with extra add ons, and treats the price starts to add up quickly, For me and my boyfriends drinks, the chocolate bowl, and the macrons it was like $44 something and we paid for the croc croffle was like 9 separately, but i was definitely paying for the experience as well and it was definitely worth it in my opinion, especially because i’m not in...
