Afghanistan Market — Local services in Dale City

I bought pine nuts in quite good quantity to gift to relatives, I asked if I can test, the salesperson at counter said yes one or two! I asked if they were fresh and from this year’s crop and answer was yes these are very high quality. I bought trusting what I was told. When I tasted at home two days later, I found them stale and tasteless, many of the ones I cracked were black from inside or bitter. Certainly not worth to gift anyone. I had the receipt so I went back and complained. The only answer I repeatedly got was we don’t have return or exchange policy. The salesperson (different one at this time) also called someone who also required the salesperson to tell me that they don’t have return or exchange policy. I held my calm all the time and told the salesperson I’m leaving the pine nuts at counter. They may do whatever they want to do with them. There was no effort to apologise from them. I’m not visiting the store again.

Adding the following here after reading the reply:

The salesperson did go to the shelves/ container where the stock was displayed to verify that the pine nuts I am complaining about match with the stock they have in store and came back quietly as they did actually match! Where could have I brought this large quantity to return otherwise! She did not say a word to me to the effect that what I am trying to return is not same as they have in stock. She did try however to peel some nuts in front of me to prove that they are good. As there were other customers waiting and in queue, in an attempt to avoid creating a scene, I politely said please do it in your spare time and leisure (as it takes time to peel chilghozay). I then quit the store after leaving the pine nuts at the counter.

As stated earlier, I am not returning to this store. At the age I am, with all white hair and beard, I don’t have to return any product to any store unnecessarily and if I have not bought it from same store. Unfortunate to see the store is falsifying the facts by directly and wrongfully blaming that the customer is cheating and returning the item not bought from the store. Pathetic and unbecoming of professional etiquettes. Totally...

Very Poor Customer Service – Disappointed Again

Unfortunately, this store continues to show a complete lack of customer service. I decided to give them another chance after a bad experience two months ago, but today was no better.

I visited the store to look at some SHALs. The SHALs had no price tag, so I went to the front desk to ask. The staff member said he didn’t know the price but would check and let me know. I waited by the hanger for a long time—no one followed up, no one cared. It was as if helping customers was not their concern at all.

Two months ago, the store was listed as open until 10 PM on Google. Knowing their reputation, I called ahead just to confirm. Someone actually answered the business phone from home, said the store is open, and I drove all the way there—but it was closed. I tried calling again and again, but they started rejecting my calls. I honestly felt like I was being trolled.

I didn’t leave a review back then because I wanted to support local businesses. But after today, I feel it’s more important to support local residents by warning them: avoid this store unless they seriously improve their customer service and...
