Bread Garden — Restaurant in Virginia

I recently moved into the area and one thing i missed was a good korean bakery. I found out about this place through word of mouth on facebook. It was recommended by a friend of a friend. I was passing newport news and thought i HAD to make a stop. and oh my god THIS PLACE'S BREAD IS SO DELICOUS! not only is the bread soft and the quality high, but its also pretty cheap. No overpriced bullcrap here. Here is what i ordered:

-Coffee Bun: My new favorite. its sweet but not sugary. the bread is soooooo soft -Melon Bun: ok so i came here for their melon bun. I always saw it on tv but never had one. similar to the coffee bun, sweet but in a different flavor. would have again -Red Bean Donut: this is a old favorite of mine. If you never had red bean before, its an acquired taste. My favorite form of redbean goodies is in donut form. they got this right. Cinnamon twist: very doughy, which i love. not hard and crunchy

Judging from the outside, I was a bit hesitant to go in given that I’m used to the super insta-worthy Korean bakeries in LA, but wow, she’s got a great selection. I went around 3pm and a lot of the items were sold out, which is a sign of how good they are. I got about 10 items, including the kimbap and the croquette from the hot box and it was around $30, which is very fair. The kimbap was really good and for $6, it was a steal. The pastries were also all knockouts. Super fluffy and lightly sweet. I’ll definitely go earlier next time, so that I can try all of the ones I missed. This bakery is an absolute delight—easily one of the best spots I’ve visited. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with the warm, comforting aroma of freshly baked bread and sweet treats that instantly lifts your mood. The space is clean, cozy, and beautifully arranged, with each pastry looking like a work of art.

The selection is incredible—soft, pillowy milk bread, fluffy cream buns, perfectly chewy melon bread, and the most delicate cakes with just the right amount of sweetness. Everything tastes fresh and thoughtfully made
