Farm Fresh — Local services in Poquoson

I rarely go to this store. I went to get some mixed chicken (8) piece for a gathering at my job the next day. I left my job and arrived at 6:00 P.M. ordered the mixed chicken (3) there was chicken already there, but the gentleman told me I would have to wait six minutes; that's fine. I walked around the store about ten minutes. My son stood at the deli waiting. I came to the deli and the foreign lady said here is the chicken who is next. I got the three bags and when I got home. It was all FRIED chicken! all three bags, called up there and she said I don't know what to tell you we have no more baked chicken. I cannot eat fried which is why I asked for mixed. she asked the young man did I order that and he admitted it. The lady said call the manager tomorrow. I called the next day (morning) the day of the event while at work asked to speak with the manager he did not sound like he wanted to be there or be a manager. He said "This is the manager" I explained to him what happened. He said so what do you want me to do about it?" I said the least you can do is be understanding I cannot eat fried chicken and have wasted twenty dollars on something I do not eat. I said now I see why your employee's have the attitude that they have. He said "I don't have an attitude, but I can show you how to have one" I said a couple of nasty words and hung up on him. The only thing that is keeping that place is the Deli and Seafood Department. Two things in life. Everyone is replaceable, and God don't like Ugly and is not to proud...

I tried to buy 10 piece dark meat chicken at about 1500 they were un loading two large racks of chicken from deep fryer they told me they were 8 piece. I said I would be more than willing to wait they began to start unloading the chicken and then started Running around asking each other questions then start arguing then they told me they didn’t have any 10 piece when I could clearly see it there. you advertise it so you should sell it I thought. this is not the first time I have witnessed or run into this at that counter it is obviously clear that no one knows what’s going on there. I put back the other items I was going to purchase and was walking out when I saw what looked like some type of supervisor I ask to see the manager that went south quickly. so I left my family and I spend several hundred dollars a month in there I’m sure it’s a couple thousand a year it may not mean much to you all but I will stop at least a 1 other from shopping there we can do our shopping at Emart . Im not a rocket scientist but I have done well especially in customer service if a person walks I and wants a glass of water with a rock in it my people and I will do everything in our power to get that for them. you have a real problem in that department and no one seems to care. The store used to be clean and orderly, but after it was purchased it's getting worse. Hard to find some of the items I used to go there for, since it's turning into an Asian food store. Lots of stuff that is not labeled in English so I couldn't try something new if I wanted to. Aisle labels were wrong, big pallets blocking walkways, and lot of empty shelves.

Deli staff at my visit was slow and didn't look like they cared about doing their job well. They misprioritized jobs and had nobody taking orders, even for food that was already in the display case. Lots of joking around and conversation in the deli, though, in plain sight of the customers. The chicken wasn't even good enough to be worth the wait.

Pharmacy section is significantly reduced. I used to be able to restock most of the medicine cabinet alongside a grocery trip, but now I can't find some basic health items or supplements. Don't count on finding what you need unless it's an aspirin or bandage.

There are plenty of other choices in the area, however. Choose one of those unless you want a weird hybrid Asian...
