New Thai restaurant, from the outside the signage still has the previous Vietnamese Pho business. But when you enter, there definitely is the updated Thai cuisine vibe. Still undergoing touches of interior update. Clean. You are greeted by the owners, very friendly and polite. When I asked if it's a Vietnamese or Thai restaurant, she explained they do serve Pho which previous owners have shared with them the recipe. But I was in the mood for Thai food so I looked through their extensive menu. Reasonably priced. I ordered chicken Pad Thai. It was good, It was missing more of the egg and bean sprouts in it. The noodles were still semi clumped together, wish it was served temperature hot. But the portion was huge for a lunch portion, I brought most home for dinner! I would come back and try the pad woon sen, my next favorite dish. Hope they'll get more traffic through. Food was decent, 4 stars is more for welcoming ambience and genuine hospitality.

This is my and my wife's favorite restaurant in Newport News. They have a LOT of vegan options and the owner, Patty, is very kind. We have been coming about once or twice a month since they opened. I am confused by the recent review stating that they do not have vegan options. I'm sure it was true somewhere else but definitely not here. I have added more photos in case they help others find the right place! They can make almost any dish "vegan style" (no egg, no dairy, no meat, no fish sauce), offer a complete page of specifically vegan options, and make us Thai iced tea with coconut milk instead of dairy.

I'm vegan, and vegan options in Hampton and Newport News are limited. I was very happy to learn about this place that had clearly labeled vegan options! The woman who I talked to (who I assume was the owner) was nice and discussed that she could make most items on the menu vegan. She mentioned that one of the things that can make a lot of Asian dishes not vegan is fish and oyster sauce, which shows to me she knows her stuff and definitely made me comfortable ordering. I got the pad thai with tofu and the mango sticky rice. Both were incredibly delicious with amazing flavors. I'll definition be back!

Really wish I would have read the reviews before ordering from here. The owner seems to want to take the time to slander people giving feedback instead of taking the time to improve on the things people are saying. Yikes...

Ordered from UberEats and paid $105 (before fees). The order was for 3 entrees and 3 appetizers.

The issues: *All of the items had laughably small portions *One of the appetizers was missing half of the items it was supposed to come with (UE refunded us a part of the cost of the item) *The papaya salad is my favorite dish and this was salty, too fishy, and had a lot of extra sauce which leaked out of the container onto everything else *The beef from the platter salad was overcooked *The pla kung was overly limey and the texture of the shrimp was very soft (as stated in the description) however I found it was not something I enjoyed *I asked for, and paid for, extra vegetables with my drunken noodle and it didn't seem like I got additional anything *Everything was mildly spiced. It was very mild, and hardly noticeable. I was hoping for some kick.

Perhaps dine in is different, which is to be expected to an extent, but not to this degree! Based on the off-putting responses to negative reviews, portion sizes, flavor, and cost, we will...

This place: AMAZING.

A small, cozy, family run restaurant. Not flashy, not overpriced, the portions are great. Eat a whole meal for a filling experience, or comfortably split into two dishes.

The wonderful owner and her husband make excellent recommendations, and stop by the table as often as they're able. Polite, friendly, and so so kind.

I'm personally obsessed with the basil eggplant w/ beef, and the Khoa Soi (think I spelled that right). The Tom Kha is delicious as well as any appetizer they recommend. I feel like they remember everything I've ever ordered.

The spiciness levels are legit, mess around and find out, with anything above a level 3!

Great local, family owned business. Look forward to my stop by every other week at this rate!

Have done dine-in and take...
