Mochi & Mochi — Restaurant in Poquoson

This visit we visited Mochi & Mochi. Small but cute little counter serving mochi donuts and Boba teas locaated inside the Grand Mart International Food Store. They also serve latte and coffee drinks. I was curious to try so of these items. Our family tried three Boba teas: Milk tea, Mango tea and Green tea. They were all good but out of all the flavors we tried we really enjoyed the Mango flavor. We also tried the mochi donuts we tried the: watermelon, strawberry, coffee, and passion fruit. We thought the watermelon flavor tasted kind of like fruity pebbles. The strawberry milk and the coffee flavor was very strong. My seven year told me that she enjoyed the texture of the donuts because it was like a trampoline for your fingers. 😆They took good care of us. The customer service was great. Tried these for the first time today and I’m so glad I finally did! They have the best texture and were so fresh and delicious. I tried the strawberry, thai tea & churro. The churro and strawberry were the best. Thai tea was good but didn’t taste like a thai tea to me, just very sweet. I will be returning to try some other flavors as they rotate the flavors often. Just a heads up: You must eat these when they’re fresh or within a few hours. If you don’t, they still taste good but the texture will be different- more chewy and won’t have that slight crispness on the outside. I had one right after I got them (super yummy) and the others were eaten later in the day and the texture was already different by then. Was very surprised that I found mochi donuts in the area thought I would have to drive all the way to Richmond, I got the big box of six and tried all the flavors they had that day, they were all pretty good except the chocolate one with nuts I didn’t like so much, but they were all lacking in flavor, like the flavors were so subtle so they mostly just tasted like a regular donut, now the mochi texture was there which I liked, but the flavors need to be stronger, they also had smoothies and boba you could order, I ordered brown sugar boba, it came in a really cool clear can, the flavor of the drink was delicious, I loved it, but the boba was just a tad bit hard in the middle, overall it was a decent place, would I come back for the doughnuts not really, but would for the brown...
