we came here to meet up with some high school friends & they already had a table & their own waitress, we had our new waitress start an open tab for us, it was four of us, we got two plates of food to share between us & we got multiple buckets of beer our total did end up being over $200 Which wasn’t a problem but I did notice that they added a “large party gratuity included “we were only 4 people not a “large party” so I don’t know if it was because of the amount that we had ordered, but either way this wasn’t disclosed to us prior. I’m also wondering if it was because I did have an issue with another waitress who came over to pick up some dirty plates from the table & then asked us if we needed anything to which we did tell her that we wanted to add another bucket to our bill & then she came out with a separate tab & was demanding that we had to close out the tab with her when I told her that we had an open tab & to just add it to our current tab, she said that it was impossible. It was not doable. Something that is unheard of because I’ve worked in multiple restaurants. I’ve worked at bars in DC, it’s definitely doable. You just have to go & get your manager, when I realized I wasn’t getting anywhere with her, I immediately started looking for my own waitress to which our waitress had seen that there was something going on so she rushed over to the table, asked what was wrong & I informed her that we had wanted to order another bucket to our bill, but the oter waitress was insisting that we had to close out the tab with her, our waitress told us that they can absolutely combine the tab. She apologized & rectified it. Im sure the other waitress was upset, but don’t lie to your customers. Everything was OK until the end of the night we had another waitress come up & asked if we needed anything else, to which I insisted no we have our own waitress thank you & he was pretty pushy on the fact that he can just get What we wanted, we just need to close out the tab with him, I wasn’t a fan of this because if we had actually been drunk, we probably would’ve said OK & then at the end of the night we probably would’ve had three different tabs to close out & we wouldn’t have known what was what, which to me seems really shady. The food was great & We loved...
Read moreHighly disappointed and bad experience as a first time customer.
I called 5 times to order take out and no one answered the calls. I decided to drive to the location “Lima District” and found out it is “Casa de Campo.”
I placed and order of two whole chickens with its sides and added something extra while I waited. The environment was VERY LOUD that the server did not listen, although I repeated myself a lot of times, and only put the order for one while chicken plus my extra item. I can gladly say I’m glad I only paid and got for one chicken instead of two.
The chicken was not fresh and undercooked (red inside when cut!) I got yuca & plantains as sides and you can tell it was fried in old oil and was definitely not fresh. They gave me only THREE (one yellow, one green, one red) sauces… for a whole chicken, which were also NOT fresh. The Parihuela was okay, but it does not compensate for the lack of quality for the whole chicken, it’s sides and their sauces.
I paid as I waited for my order to be ready. As I was about to add a tip, I noticed it had already been included, without being notified. Unsure if this is their policy…
I was planning on bringing my family/friends but after this experience, I will not be...
Read moreGarbaggio!!! I come from a Peruvian family and this place is an insult! I ordered tallarines a la huancaina with lomo saltado and it was basically a soup. The tallarines seemed as if they grabbed kraft powdered cheese and watered it down. My sister went to the bathroom and the seat was ripped off and on the floor. I never go to Peruvian spots (only a select few) because of the false representation of our cuisine, but this place tops the garbage represented in the DMV. I never made a review in my life because I think we all have flaws, but this, this! Is just an embarrassment to the Peruvian cuisine. I know you are trying to run a business, but this a slap on the face of the deliciousness of Peruvian food. Please make a change or just close your doors this...
