Not sure what is going on with Cava employees, in my area. The location on Hull St., in Midlothian, Va., routinely has a dinner crew that stop taking your bowl or order down the line so that they can have conversations, with other employees. They start your bowl and then you routinely have to wait for your proteins to get put in or your toppings, without fail. They also were talking to other people while you're checking out so you have to wait for them to finish their conversation even though they totaled you up for your bowl but you may want drinks or other items so then they have to add those items because they weren't giving your order attention. What should take no more than two minutes, especially when you know exactly what you want. Ends up being easily a 5 to 6 minute process at the Hull Street Midlothian location. When you get online orders, other items are starting to be missed like certain toppings, and dressings.. Also, evening crew isn't friendly at all. It consistently feels like you're bothering them to come in and place an order..
Have been to the Huguenot Road location a few times in Midlothian, Virginia. My first two times were excellent experiences, Specifically, during the lunchtime hour. Went last night for dinner, And the exact same thing happened where un employee taking my bow order, decided to have a conversation during my entire order and checkout process with another employee. I am a CAVA fanatic and spend a lot of money with CAVA. The Experience that I'm having especially at the HULL St. location is really getting old. I really hope CAVA corporate sees these reviews and makes...
Read moreMy family and I had a wonderful experience at Cava on Hull Street this evening! It's only the second time we have eaten in a restaurant since the pandemic hit. The restaurant was clean, social distancing was followed, masks were worn and most importantly, the food was delicious! The main reason for my review though is because of what a specific employee, Joey, did for our family tonight. It started with a warm greeting and welcome when we walked in the restaurant. He provided my wife with a sample menu for the kids meal because my wife had some questions and was unable to hear the responses of one of his co-workers. He then provided positive feedback about our daughter's manners and how polite and respectful they were. While we were eating dinner, he came by to check on us and asked if there was anything we needed. When we were leaving, he provided an extra cup for a refill for the road and offered to get a bag for some food that we were unable to finish. Everything he did was with a smile and he thanked us for coming out and told us to please come back again! Wow...as a small business owner, I love and appreciate receiving excellent customer service and Joey delivered. He may not be the owner of the restaurant but tonight, he acted like it! For that, I hopes he gets a raise, a bonus, a gift card or just an old-fashioned pat on the back for a job well done! Keep up the great work Joey! We need more people like you in the...
Read moreThis was my second time going to CAVA. I understand why so many people like going there, and most customers seem to be in shape. I feel so good after eating here, and it tastes good!
The first time I tried CAVA, I had a salad. I believe it was with one of the super blends of lettuce and brown rice. I had grilled chicken and lentils, among a bunch of other veggie toppings. I also tried a few sauces. It was all good and was big! It was enough for two meals!
This last time I got the kid's meal. It's a smaller pita. The only downfall is you can't mix and match as many items in the different categories (you only get a green or grain, one main, one sauce, and two toppings. You can't do half and half). I got the super greens with grilled chicken, lentils, pickled onions, and Crazy Feta. I chose carrots as my side. I definitely would get the kid's meal again. It's a much smaller portion, half the price, and you get a drink with it. I enjoyed the Blueberry Lavender drink. I was told there is no sugar added to that one and the Pineapple Apple Mint drink. We also got a side of pita bread and a side of Hot Harissa sauce. Both were really good! The Harissa is my favorite sauce so far.
Looking forward to...
