Usually my experience has been great today not so much.
I ordered three traditional breakfast (11.79)and added cheese mushrooms and onions. And an order of eggs for my grandson We ended up paying 70.00 Because we ended up being charged an extra 6 dollars per plate for the cheese$ 1.69 mushrooms $1.99 and onions 1.99. We were totally unaware that it was so much extra for a sprinkle of toppings for two eggs. I have added a picture so you can see it was literally 2 mushrooms in the eggs and I paid 1.99 for that. We asked to speak to the manager about this and instead of the manager coming over she sent a rude message saying when you order additional you should already expect to pay extra. That was so ridiculous and rude. Like ok yes we expect a small charge but not 1.99 for 2 peices of mushroom. Managers on duty General Manager Lauren Kitchen Manager Amanda Now I understand that prices have gone up and to keep up with the cost you have to raise prices but for two bites of mushroom 1.99 a sprinkle of onion. Terrible. I usually have a good experience and chose to give my business to first watch instead of going anywhere else to be hussled out of money. That is not good business and the least that could have been done is the manager come out directly and manage not send a nasty message like we are ignorant for being shocked over the extra 6 dollars each plate. That was nearly the cost of the kids menu so it was like buying three extra kids meals for a few toppings then being talked down to for questioning the bill. Nice waitress poor management. The food is good but be careful what you order and make sure to ask before you order because they do not tell you and you will be stuck...
Read moreI ordered the Bacado Omelet, the Works Omelet, and a Kale Tonic this morning via a Uber Eats. The Kale Tonic was delicious as always, and our omelets were filled with the perfect amounts of included ingredients and still warm enough to not have to reheat. I enjoyed a side of the grits while my husband had the seasoned potatoes-which are always a favorite of his. Then there was the toast, which in comparison to past experiences at F.W. was dry and very crunchy, but edible although I now have an mild around my gum line on my front teeth from biting into it. Unfortunately, the service provided by the person that checked the bag and initialed it failed to notice that there was no sour cream for either omelet (which comes with both of them) nor was there any pico de gallo for my Bacado Omelet which left it lacking the overall flavor the two items add to it. There was no butter or jelly for the toast which we normally receive in our delivery orders from F.W. This is not my first issue when ordering delivery from this location and if it wasn’t one of our favorite places for breakfast whether eating in or getting it delivered, I would just discontinue eating here. My hope is that management or the owner will eventually have a staff that is qualified to check over an order and make sure that everything is indeed actually in the bag before letting it go out of the store. Unfortunately I’m beginning to think that I’ll have to find more dependable place to get our on occasion weekend...
Read moreThe food was delicious! The portion sizes were large. The beverage pictured is the Morning Meditation healthy juice blend with ginger and tumeric. It's a great pick-me-up first thing in the morning. I also ordered the Lemon Ricotta pancake which comes with 2 pancakes (however I opted for only 1) served with fresh strawberries and a lemon custard. It was so delicious I'm not sure if I can ever go back to eating regular pancakes again! If you don't try anything else try this! You will not be disappointed.
I also tried the Sunrise Hash (I think that's the correct name of the dish). It contained eggs, cheese, potatoes, street corn, chorizo, 2 tortillas, avocado, and sour cream. While this is a limited time dish it is definitely worth trying before it goes away. The dish was very flavorful and the chorizo was cooked to perfection.
The vibe in the restaurant was very relaxed and though the restaurant is busy it still felt intimate. The restaurant is family friendly. The server was attentive and polite, and the service was fast. Prices were higher than the average breakfast restaurant, however you get a better quality of food for that price along with a large variety of food items and beverages and the menu choices were more upscale. Well worth the money.
While reservations are not necessary you can also hold your place in line via the website or you can order to go. Either way you are guaranteed...
