Arrived here 9:20pm. All employees was busy cleaning. Begged for someone to answer my question. If they have a Soup? The girl with rude surfcasting way, said while wiping table NO. Then I asked somebody to take my order one of them in the same golf course was looking at me until she finish wiping the table, then coming to say, what do you want. She started filling my bowl in Rush even never listen to what I was asking her. Tried my best to call my cell down to finish and take my order and go the girl took my payment and left my bowl on a tray while I told her this is Portugal, I was waiting to get my receipt. She left me and disappeared and then I found her helping another customer. At this point I went to apologize for the customer that she’s helping and I told her shouldn’t you finish with the first customer then you move to the next She sent me the other girl since she’s a supervisor or somebody telling me. What do you want and calm down. Informed her still I’m waiting for my receipt and also for a back to carry my food. She replied to me. We are out of papers and left me and walk away. Unfortunately I used to come to this place. I love the food. I love the environment but they should train their people on how to treat customers well, and with respect I’m writing this hoping upper management pay attention to do not lose customers. FYI Still I don’t have paper receipt...
Read moreThis is the worst cava I have ever been to. They skimp your portions beyond belief. Whoever is managing this place is stingy and cheap. I have never been charged for "extra" rice and I have been to several cavas. First of all it wasn't extra, it was hardly a normal sized portion. They said 1 scoop is normal and beyond that is extra. My girlfriends 1 scoop of rice wasn't even enough to satisfy a toddler. I told her to get some more and they added 2 tiny scoops and the employee who was serving us seemed annoyed that we asked for more. She made sure to tell the other employees we had extra like 4 times In a row. That's how you know the owner and managing team is CHEAP. All of the veggie portions were ridiculously skimped, and they are limiting you to 2 dressings. Every single other cava I have been to they allow you to get at least 3 dressings or as much as you want. It cost us $27 and some change just for 2 bowls, and they didn't even give us a receipt, it's like who knows what extras they were throwing on our bill. Also they had no napkins and no knives stocked at all. The employees must be lazy. The fact that they charge extra for 2 or 3 TINY scoops of rice is what really irritated me. After getting everything and my "extra rice, my bowl was not even half full. Will NOT be coming...
Read moreI came to the Sterling Cava location recently but was extremely dissapointed at their complete lack of training and care for customers with food allergies. I have Celiac and frequently visit the Fairfax location and am always treated with respect and they make an effort to ensure proper procedures take place to best prevent cross contamination. However, my experience in Sterling was quite the opposite. I notified the staff that I have Celiac and asked that they change their gloves and walk down the line with me. Not only did the first person I asked not comply, she attempted to pass me on to another staff member. I was passed on to 3 different staff members and had to repeat my request at minimum of 3 times per person before someone would actually try to help me. Not only was the staff completely unaware of proper procedures on how to serve someone with a food allergy, they seemed to be annoyed that they had to change their gloves and follow me down the line. A seemingly simple task considering how sick I could get if cross contamination occurred. From the treatment I received, and complete lack of care by 3/4 employees, I will not be going back to the Sterling location. The only employee that attempted to make an effort was the person at the cashier who didn't even help...
