Charm Thai Bistro — Restaurant in Virginia

This was my first time ordering delivery through Instacart. I was really looking forward to a delicious dinner but was sadly disappointed. I've tried to reach out to Instacart and to Charm but it will not let me submit after filling out everything. Upon opening the container, I noticed a very foul smell, unlike ANY PAD Thai I've ever had. The presentation was nice but after 1 bite, I had to dispose of the food in my mouth. Something tasted rotten, it wasn't the shrimp but perhaps squid? I'm a huge seafood fan and I love it all but I've never had anything taste so pungent or rotten before. Everything else was fine. I just hope I don't wake up sick or anyone else if they happened to encounter the same thing. First, they do not have any lunch specials. No side of egg roll or soup included . The meal does not come with a protein. Each protein is a charge. The brown rice is $3, which seems high. We ordered fried Tofu. It was horrible. The sauce was sickeningly sweet and tofu tasteless. I ordered a Stir-fried with a choice of protein, broccoli, carrot, and cabbage in garlic brown sauce. I declined the protein and the waitress said she would have the chef give me extra vegetables. When the dish came out, I thought she gave me the wrong order. There were very few veggies and it was in a bowl with a soup like watery sauce. It did not look like any kind of stir fry plate. I had only two pieces of broccoli. This cute, charming little bistro is nothing short of amazing. The food is prepared with all fresh ingredients and cooked to perfection. The chef is fantastic. I ordered beef basil rice stir fry. The vegetables were crisp and not soggy. The beef was extremely tender and not tough and chewy. My husband ordered the spring rolls and wonton soup. Both were made with fresh vegetables.
