Wow... what a weird experience I had at Chick-fil-A today.
I ordered through the drive through. I spoke with Vanessa who I have to admit I had a hard time understanding. I asked her to repeat what she had said and heard my order - Spicy Chicken Sandwich meal. I confirmed but thought it was strange my quoted total was slightly higher than what had been quoted to me initially. I looked at my receipt and it was different than what I had ordered. I guess someone in the other order line also got the same meal as me, but with a lemonade, Sriracha sauce and Chick-fil-A sauce. I, very casually, let her know my drink and sauce was wrong and probably the order got mixed up.
Wow the response, I immediately felt "handled". I expressed to her that I would like to have the issue corrected and she let me know the told me what the order was before I took the bag so it was my fault. I expressed to her I got the spicy deluxe too but this was not my order because of the specific details and the added charges. I also let her know that is besides the point but just the level of response to such a casual request was jarring. She then told me this was my order and there was no mistake.
Eep.... I know everyone is stressed these days, but when someone actually is trying to be nice but also make sure they are getting what they are paying for....I don't recommend this location.
Food was good.
Update: this review is for the Chick-fil-A located by the Giant in the North Point Village Center. While I may have gotten the representative's name wrong, this was...
Read moreThis is a great Chick Fil-A. I eat lunch here at least 3 x week because (a) I love Chick Fil-A food and (b) it’s easy walking distance from my house. The owner Larry and stellar employee Oy have been very attentive to the needs of my wife who has severe Celiac’s (gluten allergy), asking the food prep folks to change to fresh plastic gloves and so forth, making this one of only three places in all of Northern Virginia where she can reliably eat without getting sick for 3 days. That level of food allergy attentiveness is very commendable and rare and, notably, some other Chick Fil-A's are not as solid on this front. Some of the other reviewers are correct that it’s sometimes a little slow and chaotic when ordering food, but it’s a new place and they’re still getting their sea legs. My favorite item on the menu is the grilled chicken sandwich on multigrain bun. Paired with a fruit salad it’s about 350 calories and can therefore fit into even the most hard-core diet, giving you a complete, healthy, inexpensive, filling, tasty meal that’s unbeatable. For those not counting calories, the spicy chicken club sandwich with waffle fries is probably the greatest offering in the fast...
Read moreThis has to be the worst location for a drive through restaurant. The parking lot is small and always a challenge to park with the drive through next to it. Leaving the drive through is also a challenge with on-coming traffic. There is a parking lot across from the service drive but it can be a bit dangerous with families walking to the restaurant with the traffic. It's a busy shopping center and the restaurant makes traffic worse. Since they opened, the speed of serving customers has improved but not the food. I usually do not go to this location but went here the other day at the last minute. The Cobb salad was good but my Chick-fil-A sandwich was cold and dry. I asked for a Sprite with no ice and I received a cup full of ice. Since I live close by I went back to the restaurant and I was questioned three times about the sandwich and was eventually given another one that wasn't much better. All they did was place fresh pickles on a burnt Chick-fil-A sandwich. I won't go back to this location again. I will make the extra trip and go to the one on Sunrise Valley which has much better...
