This was my first time visiting with my co-worker. I arrived and was seated right away while I waited. She arrived soon after and we ordered Peach Margaritas. The first few sips were good but it didn’t taste so good after (I blame the salt that was covering the rim which I totally forgot is standard for these drinks). Luckily, I also had a glass of water and soon after ordered a Dr. Pepper. Server came back quickly with my soda and said they don’t serve Dr. Pepper so he got me a Pibb instead and mentioned “it’s the same thing” (In my mind: No it’s not, but ok I’ll be nice and not make a fuss). My co-worker ordered boneless wings and I got the cheesesteak with fries. The sandwich was huge and it literally looked like there was no bun. I cut my sandwich in half and it got pretty messy thereafter. I wish the bun was toasted because it was pretty soggy from the first bite. Unfortunately, I was starving so ate it all anyway. I looked over the menu once more and noticed they had funnel cake fries for dessert so I got one order with a side of hot fudge that the server recommended. The fries were good and crispy but super greasy. I ate a handful and before we knew it, it was about an hour before closing time. I guess time flies when you’re having a good time! Our server kept asking if we were ready for the check and that there was no rush, but it was kind of weird he kept bringing it up despite telling us not to worry. We paid soon after and called it a night. Service was good and staff were friendly but I don’t think I’ll be returning anytime soon. Food wasn’t anything to really rave about, but I did appreciate the fast and friendly service.

The service is great. The beer is good. The kitchen needs to get their $#!π together. I had a few beers, and decided to order a cheese steak. Their version is... weird. I asked to remove all cold stuff (lettuce, tomato, mayo. None of which belong on a cheese steak IMO), and sub grilled mushrooms. They wanted to charge me extra, so I declined. The sandwich was then just meat, cheese and onions on a roll. It came fast, but that's where the positive impression ended. There was very little cheese, and the onions were just plopped on the center of the sandwich, which was served on a stale roll. To be fair, only one side of it was stale. As if someone left a bag of rolls open for hours. The sandwich was served with "Seasoned Fries", which had no seasoning at all. Not even salt. I asked for some seasoning, and I was given a little cup which was about 1/4 full of seasoning. Enough for several baskets worth of fries. Much more than my little side order warranted. If they were busy, this could have been excused. But this was at 4:30 in the afternoon. There were only a handful of people eating in the establishment. If this is the quality I get when it's slow, I shudder to think what happens when they're busy. I don't think I'll be back here. If you're looking for a good sports bar with good food, you may want to check out some other places in the area.

First time at Glory Days, located at the North Point shopping center, and it was a disappointment. The service was above and beyond, but the food and drinks weren't at all glorious. We ordered the $7 margaritas, and the first round was watered down. 24 ounces was the drink size, and 22 ounces were ice cubes. The second round we ordered with light ice showed some promise, but at that pace, we wouldn't have tasted the tequila until a 4th and 5th round; so why bother. And the appetizers well, that delivered more servings in one dish than the main course. For example, my group ordered the cheese fries appetizer, and it had more fries than my pulled pork sandwich with fries, which was the main course. And mentioning the pulled pork sandwich - it was dry with little BBQ sauce and coleslaw. It was hard to think that a simple sandwich, like pulled pork, could be excruciatingly unpalatable. Funny thing, the party I was hosting; one member recommended it, and it was a disappointment. I can't in good conscious recommend this restaurant. And for money spent on the entire meal, I expected better. A whole lot better in the food category and drinks. I was better off doing grocery shopping and conducting a cookout for what was spent.

We came here tonight to celebrate Father’s Day with my husband and kids! Food as always was phenomenal! The service though was absolutely horrendous!!! Our waitress hardly spoke a word to us; when I asked a question about weather the kids tenders were breaded in the same sweet heat breading she looked at me like I was stupid and said sweet heat?! Then we were left to sit for 30 mins with no food and empty drinks while she sat at a table with another coworker and someone else talking and laughing. When our food came out I asked for a refill and she walked away I thought she was going to get it and my daughter ended up having to go to the bar to get me one 5mins or more later and when she came back after about another five minutes with a cup of tea she said “oh I brought you one already?!” And the then walked away; when my side of cheese fries came out and they had bacon on them and I said I only wanted cheese because I don’t eat bacon she was like oh and looked annoyed didn’t apologize or anything and walked away. Anytime we asked for anything she literally looked like we were bothering her! Last visit we had was absolutely amazing; we had a great server the manager was phenomenal but tonight they sat us in a booth by the front door away from every other table like we were being shunned!!!! I have had bad service before but only one other time have I ever had service like this; she was so nice to other customers leaving and super cheerful and to us she was just absolutely rude and had no respect or customer care or compassion. I am still absolutely astonished by the service and almost in tears writing this because tonight was supposed to be a great night celebrating my husband and instead it was an absolute nightmare and left everyone feeling out of place and like we were aliens or...

So many great things about this place: Amazing food, great layout for watching the game, great atmosphere when the Nats play, wonderful bartenders, etc. They also really pal around with people watching the games and make you feel welcomed.

The service, however, is really dependent on when you go. If you visit during the dinner rush, you'll leave super satisfied. I've been going here for years, and a lot of the waitstaff have been on for a long time and know what they're doing.

The problem comes if you visit during the lunch shift. Despite having a pretty good ratio of tables to waiters, you're never going to see your waiter. They're usually pretty good at taking your order (I say usually because I've had no one take my order until I asked after 20 minutes at least twice and seen it happen to other people), but after you get your food, they're gone. You'll wait so long for the check, you'll start to question whether the meal isn't free.

I've had really frustrating experiences where my waiter leaves without telling anyone and then my family is just left without a check or a check-in for an hour. Where every waiter in the restaurant disappears simultaneously for 20 minutes and comes back red-eyed. And just endlessly trying to flag down a waiter after 45 minutes of waiting, while they stand in the corner staring vacantly at a wall. And this isn't one bad experience, it's systemic. The culture seems to be that it's on the customer to make eye contact and flag a waiter because they will not come to you.

My advice is to just eschew the normal rules and ask anyone passing by for help. If you treat everyone on the floor as your waiter, the lunch time experience becomes tolerable.

Like I said, the food is great though. Keeps me...
