WARNING THEY REFUSE REMAKES AND REFUNDS
I saw a previous review that states to taste your drink before you buy because they donāt do refunds or remakes and itās true!! No where in their establishment that I saw do they advertise that refunds and remakes are not allowed. They should really put up a sign and make it visible to the public.
My husband and I always come to this establishment whenever we go to Patrick Henry since we see it as supporting a smaller business and itās convenient thatās itās already in the mall. Iāve never been disappointed with my drinks until this trip. I ordered a white mocha with oat milk no whip. I paid (paid extra for oat milk and a card processing fee) and we didnāt even get past the Pandora store next door before I took my first sip and was grossed out. It tasted so bad like sour unflavored bean water. It didnāt even taste like coffee. I was unsure so I had my husband taste it too and he insisted we turn around and request a remake. We turned around and the male owner who already seemed irritated asked me āwhat is it?ā. I explained to him my drink tasted off and if it were possible for a remake. He tells me word for word, āThere is a trash can right there you can throw it away!ā. In shock I just stare at him because he talked to me as if I committed a crime asking for a remake but the crime here is they took my money for something I couldnāt even drink. Then he brushes me off and tells me to talk to the lady owner who made my coffee and then goes to stand to the side and watches us. We go up to the lady and I apologize and tell her there is something wrong tasting with my drink and that I know I paid extra for oat milk but I donāt want a refund I just want a remake and maybe the oat milk went bad so Iāll just take regular milk. She then proceeds to tell me that I can BUY ANOTHER drink. That they DO NOT do refunds or remakes. I have never been refused a remake in the food service industry. If something is made wrong or the taste is off you should always offer remakes before offering a refund to your customers because that is how you redeem yourself as a business.
Iām upset that I wasted 13 dollars coming here and another 11 dollars going to Starbucks right after because the coffee here was so bad. All I wanted was a good coffee with good customer service and itās sad that I ultimately had to go to...

They refused and suggested I pay .75 cents for an extra shot. As I was still being agreeable to this purchase, I went to pay with my card. They wanted me to buy a cookie as well to make the total to 1.00 to offset THEIR COST for credit card fee. (By the way my original cost include a card fee) At this point I just asked them to throw the drink away because I could not drink it. I didnāt feel I should pay all this money(for a cookie, a shot and card fee.) So I lost money and they lost a long standing customer. They didnāt have baskets but they had a lot of Vikings things and if Iām going to buy something Iām going to pick it up and look at it first. The lady came over and told me to stop touching things due to Covid which was very rude as Iām not spending a penny on something I havenāt looked at and if they are that paranoid about Covid they donāt need to be touching people coffee cups and credit cards, cash and everything else and close.
