Let me start by saying my very first W2 job was at a TN Wendy's at age 17, so, I understand the monotony in fast food and the challenges customer service in such a little respected position can present. That said, I am always extremely courteous and forgiving. After driving 5 hours from Nashville to Bristol in a constant downpour and dangerous droad conditions, I went through the drive thru at 11:46 pm and ordered a double cheeseburger, some cheddar bites and a shake which was a little more than $12. The food was great, though I had to block the thought of food sabotaged with saliva as I ate. The customer service was rude, condescending and unappreciative. I felt like a burden and a bother to "Alan" and the girl taking my payment. I first sensed irritation at my presence when I asked for a moment to peruse the menu. I was met with attitude and a curt command to order when I'm ready. Once I was ready, two voices responded at once, making it indecipherable. At each item request, I was answered with a "is that it?" or "anything else?" Apparently, neither wanted to have to make my shake. They didn't bother to mask their mutual dissatisfaction with having to perform the menial task. I was afforded minimum communication when receiving my food, mainly just a hand holding either my card, shake or bag. The service was absolutely abysmal. This may seem like a ridiculous response to one meal in my life, but, it's largely provoked by the trend in horrible customer service anywhere you go. Employees treat those who provide their livelihood as inconveniences instead of showing the courtesy and respect we deserve. And we're supposed to pay more so that these people can get $15/ hr? I'd rather use the self checkout or kiosk which is exactly what will be the inevitable consequence. I get that these are crummy jobs and that at least these kids/people are working instead of collecting unemployment, but these are entry level jobs that give you a basic foundation and platform to improve communication skills, problem solving skills, basic math, and hell, basic humanity. Can we stop accepting mediocrity and...
Read moreI'd like to preface with saying I've never had a bad experience here.
We came in today (7/19/19) after not stopping in for two months or so and got in line behind a lady who had her receipt showing she was supposed to have cheese on her burger, which there wasn't any on her burger. They fixed it and she went on her way. Things happen. A note on the cashier; she was polite with the "Have a good day" comment after we left the counter, but her attitude was absolutely terrible all the way down to the tone of her voice. No sincerity at all.
We ordered our food and went to get our drinks. Not long after finding a table our food was prepared. As we sat down to eat my girlfriend unwrapped the top of her burger, pulled the top bunoff, and there was no cheese - there was supposed to be as the cashier asked and was responded to with a "Yes Please". Girlfriend goes up to get it fixed and she's met with rude attitude over the cheese, then given a SLICE of cheese in a separate styrofoam tray instead of the food being corrected in the way it would be at most restaurants. She comes back and sits down. This time she unwraps the whole thing and the bottom bun is soggy - like wet bread mushy (I have video). At this point she's already aggravated and tears the wet part off and begins to eat.
I open my hotdogs - the weenies are rough and shriveled up, almost uneatable. (I have photos).
After scavenging what we could from our meals we tossed the rest and left disappointed.
I understand it's Cookout, not some 5-Star restaurant. But there seriously needs to be some sort of standards being adhered to.
We're not coming back and I'm sending the photos to corporate.
The only reason I gave two stars was because it's 90° outside and the Mr....
Read moreStopped by cookout drive through today and was served by the rudest person I have ever dealt with. We didn’t ask for much but Myesha made sure to make it extremely unpleasant. From the time that we placed the order through the intercom Myesha was very short, snippy, and rude when we asked her to add things to the order. Upon finishing the order Myesha never thanked us for our business or for stopping at the establishment, When we got to the window we were greeted with a frown. She didn’t acknowledge us until it was time for the payment and even then they messed up the order and left out the nuggets. That being said we went back through the drive through and asked for the item that was not in the bag. Myesha told us to bring the receipt. When we made it to the window she smirked as we pulled up and snatched the receipt really fast and slammed the window without saying anything. She provided us with the missing nuggets and never apologized for the mistake, she just smirked and slammed the window. As we drove away we found the nuggets to be over cooked and hard as rocks. We will not be coming back to this cookout due to the poor treatment and lack of actual customer service!!
This particular employee needs to remember that the customer comes first. That’s where your...
