It's 12:30 and I'm hungry. Stricken with this chicken itch. Everything seems to be closed. Accept Cookout that is! So I ultimately decide on the latter. My mistake! I order a cheddar style burger with cajun fries, a honey mustard wrap, with a strawberry cheesecake milkshake. A second cheddar style burger with no bacon, and the same sides previously listed. Topping this one off with a snickers milkshake. Lastly, I ordered a 5 pc nugget combo and two ranch wraps for $1.50. I spent $19.46 all together.
When my order came out I checked it and saw that I had been given the wrong food. I was given hush puppies that appeared to have burned through the styrofoam container and a two layered concoction covered in cheese. I made this distressing fact clear to Casidy the cashier on duty. At first she acts as if she can't comprehend the fact that the tray is in disarray and it's plain wrong. Once it sinks in she takes it back and promises to fix it. Things start to look up. I'm thinking cool it was just a minor mix up, I'm just tired and overanalytical. They'll handle it. They always do. My optimism seemed to be well rounded because the second time around everything seemed to be up to par. So gears are shifted and I get home. When I get there however, I realized that the nuggets I had been craving all day were missing, my milk shakes were soupy, and my wraps were dry, hard, and cold. The burgers so so. (The wait time was about 5-10 or so) I love Cookout. Don't get me wrong. I've been coming for years. In that amount of time I don't think they've ever gotten my order wrong. Ever. I bore witness to some headpiece difficulties for sure. Though every morsel that I've ordered has made it in their entirety through my car door. I mean I get it. It's late and miscommunications happen. I mean we're only human. I am not even upset. (I work in retail) I choose not to call or come back and boohoo about my rogue nuggets. Or even the quality of my meal as a whole. It's not even that deep really. Next time around I'll just have to make sure I check every bag before I get too giddy.
Sincerely, The Nuggetless Wonder. An avid...
Read moreTamiyah, your drive thru employee, is very rude. Hard to understand on the speaker because she cuts it off too fast. I asked for a bag and some ketchup which apparently aggrevated her. She tried to hand me the tray with the ketchup piled on top and the bag underneath it. I politely took the bag and opened it for her to do what she should have done from the beginning and place my order it in. She sat my tray in the window and turned her back to me and left me sitting there. There was a man standing back and he asked her if she was good bacause he seen what was happening. She said she was good. Walked away for a few came back and gave me my food by turning the tray sideways and dropping it my bag. Then slams the window shut and again turns her back to me. I said hey i need my drink, i blew my horn, she refused to turn around. I motioned for my drink to the lady filling the tea and she told the cashier. She said something to her and walked away. The man that asked if she was good made eye contact with me so again i motioned for my drink. She came back handed me my drink and slammed the window again and turned her back. So i just sat there until she turned around and opened the window and handed me a straw and slammed the window and again turned her back. So I just sat there for few and took my sweet time checking my order and leaving. You see Tamiyah, what you clearly didn't understand, besides good customer service, is all those people you held up in line are going to be upset and fussing at you not me. You are the one that has to deal with it, not me. I went back to having a great day! I truely hope this will be addressed and some additional training is in...
Read moreMy family and I have been visiting the Mechanicsville Cookout since the 1st day they opened. I'm sad to say that this location is going down hill very quickly. The longer they stay open, the worse the service and food is getting. My family and I ordered dinner only to find the hamburger they served me had a bite already taken out of it. You could clearly see the teeth marks in the hamburger patty. The manager on duty acted as if this was not a big deal and only offered to get me a new burger. Question? Why would I want a new burger after this had happened? When I asked how this happened she apologized and said she has told the kitchen crew on several occasions to stop eating on the back line to prevent this accident from happening. The last time I checked this is completely against the Virginia Department of Health Code. I did contact corporate to make them aware of this situation and have a formal complaint made. I was advised the owner of this location would look into this complaint & I would receive a phone call back. Sadly enough, it has been 2 weeks & I still haven't heard back from anyone. Clearly shows they don't appreciate their customers. I would recommend any of the other fast food...
