This was a bad experience again. I had stopped coming to this location but decided to try it again. ( Hindsight... I should have gone down the road a few more miles and it would have been far better.) The problem this time.... we order our food and we both do not want the rice that comes with it and ask if one can get double crema salad and I wanted the refried beans. Server says ok. When our food arrives, we do not get the substitutions so I find our server and ask. I'm then told they will have to charge for them. I just say no and advise him to just bring us the rice then. The crema salad that we both had received, lettece was wilted and going bad, the tomatoes looked as if they had frozen and then thawed. The appearance was terrible and the salad was not eaten. Next problem was the food was flavorless and bland. We had ordered the texana quesadilla and chicken fajitas. This was a disappointment. After all of this happening I will not be returning to this location. I have been to three of the other locations and do not have any problems. This is the worst one. Service was ok but an explanation would have been nice when ordering instead of finding out after food arrived and hunting down our server. I had forgotten this location will nickle and dime you for each thing but was soon reminded. I'm surprised i was not charged for our tea refills. I have not experienced these things at the other locations. My favorite locations are Ashland and Sandston. I recommend you pass this location and go to one of the other locations or go down the road a few miles. They are all better dining experiences. ...
Read moreBEWARE!! I ordered an item off of the lunch menu and I CLEARLY communicated that to the server. However I wasn’t charged for a lunch item, when I expressed that to the server he insisted that I ordered off the regular menu. This server was very rude and condescending. Implying that I ordered something different, I guess he doesn’t makes mistakes, because he tried to charge us for two sides of guacamole, when only one order was placed. He also had to add our Mt. Dew to our check that he “forgot “ to add. We then requested to speak to a manager, once he arrived he took the side of his server. So whatever happened to customer service? I was so upset, I walked out. I called back and asked for the name of the owner, only to get questioned as to who was calling. I was finally given a name but I was not able to understand what was being communicated as far as the name, then I was hung on up on. I attempted to call back but no answer. Read moreComplete WOW at Mexico restaurant in Mechanicsville right now, a good staple we have been going to for years... First off the service wasn't that great but we were ok with it... Order our food get in within 7 minutes which isn't really a good sign to start with... Start eating all of it is about room temperature, tastes goods so we decide we will say something and hopefully get it made again since it has obviously been sitting in the kitchen, complain to waiter who basically shrugs his shoulders and asks if we want it microwaved, we ask for a manager whose concidentally the owner named Maria, who ARGUES with us saying it's not cold and it's gotten cold bc we have been sitting there ( this is all in a 5 min span of getting our food) she finally offers to re make it after arguing with us telling us how we are wrong so we said no we will just take the check and she proceeds to ask us if we want to take it with us because nothing is coming off our bill, still arguing with us at the front in front of staff and customers...
