Domino's is domino's. But this store in particular is probably the worst I've ever dealt with. Pizza is often delivered cold, messed up and or just wrong. And don't bother calling the store to complain. The staff could care less and if you actually get a manager to talk to you, they're rude and unsympathetic. Today was the last straw when she just hung up on us after waiting nearly 90 minutes for a cold pizza. There's plenty of better options out there, so avoid this place!
Here's the timeline for our latest ordeal and final straw: 6:09pm - Placed order (2 large pizzas) via Domino's app 6:30pm - Pizzas out of the oven 6:52pm - Pizzas left the store w/ eta of 7:42pm (more than an hour out of the oven). The driver had at least 2 other deliveries before ours in opposite directions. 6:54pm - called the store to resolve before delivery of cold pizza 7:04pm - Staff finally answered, was rude and didn't care. We asked 3 times to speak to the manager. 7:08pm - Manager (Kadisha) finally got on the phone, she was just as rude, she said "the app lied to us" and she could only cancel the order. We said that if she wouldn't resolve this, we would complain to her area manager. She said "go ahead" then abruptly hung up on us at 7:11pm. 7:26pm - Driver showed up with the pizza (now out of the oven for nearly an hour). Pizza was left at our doorstep and driver was running back to his car when we got to the door. The store didn't even bother to inform the driver that the order was canceled. At this point, we had already placed an order with Papa Johns.
I can understand that things might get busy at times. Then don't make the pizza until you're ready to deliver it instead of letting it sit in the store or in the car for an hour!
For what it's worth, the order we placed with Papa John's at 7:20pm arrived fresh and hot at 7:54pm and was delivered with extremely friendly...
Read moreIf I could rate zero stars I would. I had two free pizzas on my account. I tried to redeem them on my portal for gluten free but couldn’t do it so I called the store. Spoke to the man #1 at the store and he said just to note it on the instructions in my account online order. So I hung up. Ordered it online and noted it on instructions. Clicked submit. I called the store back to make sure they received my order and to make sure they will do gluten free crust, the general manager picked up the phone. I told him that I just submitted my order and redeemed my points for a free pizza. I asked if he received it and wanted to be sure he makes it gluten free. He then got very rude and said I can’t do that. I told him the man before him that I spoke to said I could and I already placed the order. So how can I proceed with getting my ordered pizza gluten free?! He said I can’t. He said it’s against their protocol. What? But I said, I have two free pizzas because we order all the time, happy to pay a few dollars extra also. He was so rude and was clearly not wanting to make the customer happy at all here. He spent 5 mins on the phone telling me no and it’s against his rules. I’m in the business of customer service and this was the WORSE service I have ever seen. I finally just told him to refund my money and I’ll never order from this store ever again. He lost customer. He was so arrogant and just didn’t care to make a customer happy regardless that I was willing to pay the up charge of gluten free crust. He doesn’t deserve to be a manager let alone an employee. Never ordering from there again. 🤦🏼♀️ Run from this place. Better pizza establishments in the Alexandria area who care about the customer and...
Read moreDuring my visit 1 Jan 19, the workers were doing a great job getting the food in and out. As the food was being prepared, I noticed a male who was helping on the line to prepare the dough and cheese and sauce without gloves, reaching in and out of his pockets texting on his cell phone. He never once washed his hands during my entire visit. We asked to speak to the other worker to ask her to prepare our pizza because she practiced proper professionalism and hand hygiene, but the guy on the line who I later learned is named Jordan ( supervisor), states that he is the supervisor and if we have anything to say we can say it to him. He came across aggressive. I then stated that if he is the manager, he should set the example by not using his cell phone on the line, washing his handS after touching fomites, and before handling food due to risk for cross contamination between meats, bread, his pocket etc. I am aware of the use and purpose of ovens and that they kill bacteria, but as a healthcare professional, I also understand microbiology. Basically, my issue was that, as the supervisor, I would have liked to see Jordan be a bit more professional in handling the situation in a level headed way to diffuse the situation, instead he started off defensively and then stormed off to the back of the store once he realized that the complaint was about him. I felt like the issue could have been better resolved if tempers were better under control to talk things out instead of in the tone that was used.
The rest of the team kept it moving and worked really hard so it seem like he is doing good in some areas but would benefit from a leadership course in handling unhappy customers and how to diffuse certain...
