New to working at Pender and wanted to grab a quick bite for lunch that was in walking distance. For some reason, the menu displays no pricing and you kinda just have to ask the ahjumma there what they are in person. My ā10.99ā steak and cheese sub amounted to almost $14 with tax. Though it was made in minutes, it was comparable in size to subway/potbellys and tasted worse. I was not expecting uncommon toppings for a steak and cheese such as carrots and cucumbersā¦.. the flavors did not mesh well and the sub was not toasted but moreso half baked. So much mayo and was mushy. The steak itself was good and made me think that perhaps the bulgogi menu item would be good on its own, but I donāt believe I will be back...

She then grabbed the money and said "It's 10.41 but I'm just going to charge you $11 since I put so much on your plate". Who does that? She was also saying how expensive my food would be because I had egg whites and was already charging me extra. smh Little did she know I was going to tell her to keep the change, but her disgusting greed showed the type of person she is and the type of business they are running. You are going to spend at least $10 on lunch but I have been coming to doctors appointments from 4 hours away to this complex for 5 years and they have the best tomato soup, fried rice, potato salad and bulgogi of anywhere I have tried. Sometimes I buy 2 of something and bring one home since it's such a treat. They even stock gluten free bread due to the amount of gluten free people who use our doctors office, so I can get sandwiches there. They...
