I was not picking up for myself, but for a food delivery service. I walked in around 8:30pm on 02/29 because I received the customer's order from here. There were three employees there, 2 behind the counter working on the food and the 3rd was mopping. Immediately, I overheard the one who was mopping exclaim to their coworkers, "No. NO. You KNOW what time it is. NO." I initially ignored it because I assumed that employee was talking to the others, but as I realized she might have been talking to me, I felt unwelcome.
I indicated I was there for a pickup and had to wait for a moment as the 2 behind the counter finished the order, which is understandable. I can wait. I don't have a complaint about them. The one mopping got frustrated with the other two and went to help, but with loud and aggressive commentary, practically berating and belittling the two to the point where it sounded as though one of them was trying to not cry. When my order was finished, she handed it to me and said 'sorry for the wait. Get out get out get OUT.'
I understand that it is not ideal that there are customers coming in so close to closing, but the fact of the matter is the business is still open until 9pm. There is no indication that there is a limit to when someone can buy food, it's simply inconsiderate to the workers. There are more polite ways to let customers know that food can no longer be made or alternatively, again, while I know it's not ideal, if a customer is there before closing, they should still be treated as such.
Sadly, I was not the only patron waiting. There was a dad and his son in the restaurant, having to listen to her gripe and complain and harass the others.
I'm not partial to writing reviews but I had to for this location because if I had a negative experience as a delivery driver, I can't imagine an actual customer experiencing this. I hope this is read so she can be reprimanded or replaced. Sadly, I did not catch her name, but I wish I did.
If you don't like your job, you are not...
Read moreAfter 25 min of trying to get an order placed online failed, we called and were told to pickup in 25 min. When I got there the pickup line was empty but I was told to wait behind a long line of orderers b/c there was only one cashier open. I refused. No sub is worth waiting an hour for -- and the workmen at our new house had been waiting an hour for lunch before raindrops started again. If I can get in and out of Subway in 5 min, is Firehouse worth more than 10x the wait?!?! Worse was the attitude of the cashier, who told me to call corporate b/c they had no control over online nor any way to report the problem up the chain. So I reminded him and everyone within earshot (staff and customers) that we all have control over where we choose to eat...or not. You can be sure not to get any more large or time sensitive orders from me. I tried placing the order 30 min in advance -- instead, by time I got home with food 90 min had passed. What does Corporate have to say...
Read moreI ordered the Brisket Sub & specifically told the lady No Mayo & No BBQ Sauce. She said, Just meat, cheese & bread? I confirmed, but when I got home... BBQ Sauce all over my sub, so in the trash it went. Never again will I waste money again in your establishment because regardless of how good your food might be ( and personally I don't know how good your food is and now will never find out) people want what they asked for& what they paid for.... not just whatever you felt like giving them. Obviously; I don't like BBQ Sauce or I wouldn't have specifically asked that it not be put on my sandwich & obviously you don't care enough about your customers to get their orders correct & I'm not willing to gamble another $13.50 only to go hungry until dinner time to give you...
