AMAZINGLY AWESOME PLACE FOR NORTH INDIAN FOOD EVER. I am great foodie person born and brought in the city which is world famous for variety of food and spices, Yes, AMRITSAR. I am a software engineer but self style chef as cooking is my hobby and deep sense of spices and taste obviously make myself good food tester and since I am famous in my friends eating In restaurants so I think I could have great judgement in food taste and its quality. Sorry! Too much about myself. Well, I have eaten at Indaroma more then 50 times with my family, friends, relatives and many time alone. I have hosted two to three parties having catering from Indaroma too. There have countless qualities and professionalism that I would like to share few of them right here: Chef and cooking style is quiet traditional and professional that makes food 🥘 exactly in the same taste it should be. No matter veg or non veg. I have eaten about 90% menu in various time. There is simply great. Restaurants and its serving style is amazing. I have hardly seen such way anywhere. You have to see your menu, order the food, pay right there like a carry out places and occupy seat of your choice from the dinning hall. Then they serve at your desk like other professional lunch and dinner places and you leave desk when you finish. They pick up the utensils and clean the desk. No need to wait for your invoice etc as you already paid. It is fast and easy. They never ask for tip But there is box if you wish you can put right there. You are not stuck to pay15% or 20%. Its purely your own choice. Presentation of the food is always awesome. All main entries comes in different styles with high quality rice probably basmati, nice salad 🥗 and yummy mangoes sauce ( chutney). They have crockery stack right there in the dinning hall, if you want extra plates or any condiments help your self. Staff is very humble and professional. They have just perfect team. If you order catering or party tray you will find great presentation, delivery on time all the time biggest thing you will find the same taste whatever you ate in the restaurant in your routine.
I will edit and add more points later.
I would simply suggest, if you want your self, family, girlfriend, boyfriend, auntie friend, uncle friend or any family friend make then Happy just bring them in Indaroma and eat lunch, dinner or anything. I can bet they will never make you down and you will start loving them like me and my family.
Love you all, Indaroma staff and management. Great...
Read moreI order from here quite often. Once a week for months. I have also hooked my coworkers onto this place and on occasion order for my department at the hospital, or at least another tech or two.
I will say that hands down this is the best Indian food in the area. I've tried maybe 15-18 different restaurants in the area and the Garlic Naan and Chicken Vindaloo are still supreme here by far. I've rated a 5star review on Grubhub months ago. That being said, it's becoming more and more apparent the inconsistency, and that bugs me a little. I understand they may have different chefs throughout the week, and I've resisted changing my reviews from the inconsistency because again, they really are very good when they're on their game.
But today, for example. I ordered vindaloo and garlic naan for myself, and a paneer Tikka dish with extra rice for a coworker. I won't speak for my coworker. But my vindaloo was sour this time (has only happened once before... I wonder if it's from being old?) and there was almost no sauce with my vindaloo. The only reason I get the naan is because I love dipping it in that vindaloo sauce. Which brings me to my next issue. My naan for some reason today is well undercooked and definitely under seasoned (we all know a soft yet crispy/toasted naan full of garlic is the best! and they use fresh minced garlic!)
I'm definitely giving at least 4 stars. I normally wouldn't complain about this but again, the inconsistency has been going on for a while and today it was at it's worse. We all have our days. But this isn't cheap especially with the upcharges when I can't leave work and have to order via ubereats. This definitely will not keep me from eating here again! I honestly highly recommend this place and will continue to do so! So if you're in the area and craving Indian...this is absolutely the place...
Read moreAt first wasn’t keen on having to order at the counter - really wanted to be waited on but after I got over that it was a pleasant experience. You don’t go for the ambiance & not a large space but it is worth overlooking table service option. The food was flavorful & where some have commented they felt pricey for smaller portions we still had leftovers & noted a little less expensive then another fav of ours in Falls Church area but to be fair Saffron does have wait staff so it would be more expensive but both restaurants we would return & recommend. The butter chicken, lamb rogen josh (sp?) were delicious and hot brought to our table with very little wait after ordering. The naan both garlic & buttered was crisp on the outside & just the right texture on the inside & large portion size - we ordered 2 of each & only had one whole naan between us! We had samosas which I thought were ok - little dry & a chicken tikka app that came on bed of spinach that was also piping hot & delicious. Both apps had some heat but not overbearing & the tikka could have served as a main course as it was loaded with tandori chicken pieces in a lovely tamarind sauce with red onions & mango. Most of that came home with us. Only complaint is the sauces for the samosa’s were in the tiniest plastic cups that imo needed to be in same size ramkin that came with the other app - hard to dip the samosa into. Everyone who worked there was very courteous. Note: since everything is a la carte including bottles of beer & wine we didn’t know there was water available in carafes with glasses available n/c until after we purchased 2 bottles BUT once we sat down noticed signs posted about helping ourselves to water. We would...
