Sushi was very good and fresh. Shrimp dumplings and edamame were both enjoyable. The BMW roll might be my new favorite roll and I will be back just for more of those! Also had a Midlothian roll and Dance Eel roll; both were awesome. The hibachi vegetables were also good, maybe could have been cooked an extra minute or cut down a size smaller, but that's prob more of a personal preference and not something that would keep me from re-ordering it. Portions were good sized and filling, even took home leftovers and they kept well, even the sushi, for the following day. Service was good as well, very attentive, and friendly. Went on a Sunday so it was pretty slow, but I can see how you may need/want to make a reservation in advance on a busier day, the place is small and cozy, so I can see it filling up fast! The food is decently priced and worth the money. I will surely be back! They also have the little fried sesame balls, which I LOVE and enjoyed 2 orders of on my ride home. We live a little over an hour away and come into the city often to shop and dine, Fuji will definitely be on our list of frequent eats...

To give you an idea of how good it is. I've been researching how to grind up their food into a concentrate and infuse it into my blood stream. It's amazing.

First of all, They give you so much food with your meals. I.e bento box comes with salad and miss soup, you get cucumbers as a free starter and at the end you get Japanese candy and oranges!

Second. The food tastes amazing (as per my initial comment) I've been to several sushi places throughout Midlothian the West end and rva..... None of them come close to this place. Its delicious.

The service is amazing too. The staff was so friendly they will help you order stuff, make recommendations and teach you how to eat certain things/use chop sticks upon request.

They are also very fast. From the time I sat down and ordered it took me less than five minutes to get my soup, salad, cucumbers, and beverage.

Finally another great benefit of this place is they do carry out. Since it's right next to you it you can order some sushi towards the end of your workout and take it home with you. That's pretty sweet in my books!

10/10...

Stopped by for “sushi” when arriving the place looks ok it’s tucked away in a shopping center so that gave me a idea of what type of dishes will be served. Order a roll and it was fine. Then we ordered hamachi. This is where it took a turn. The fish was a little to cold to the touch, smell was ok and fish looked fine. I usually have a thick stomach and can eat any texture, but once I ate this piece, it wanted to come back out. The fishy taste and cold from the middle. It was just bad. As you can see by the picture usually red spots indicate the end of the tail and you have to prepare it right. I eat sashimi it should never taste as bad. I didn’t wanna give another fish a try so I tried there Ikura and it was unbelievable salty so salty like they forgot about it. It was a 24 hour recovery tho. Man this not it fr. I’m sorry. Didn’t even have anything “special” just rolls and...

I am retracting my last review. At that time i had only done take out. This time i went inside to dine. The service was good, nice staff. Large selection of items, not just sushi, but hibachi and other asian dishes. The sushi was good quality and prepeared as soon as we ordered. The green tea was delicious, they use toasted rice to add flavor and give you your own tea pot 💖 which keeps your cup nice and warm for every sip. Over all a good experience, with yummy sushi and good atmosphere. This will now be my go to sushi place for this side of town.
