This Grit has a very nice vibe, large open floor plan, lots of natural lighting, and friendly staff. They do have breakfast sandwich options, and slightly different flavor options such as lavender and honey. It’s in a residential area, so typically very quiet, although right next to a semi-busy road.
If you’re a student trying to study or if you’re working from home, this Grit, unlike others, has outdoor outlets that you can use as charging stations if you plan to stay a while. Only drawback is that they don’t stay open very long (close in the afternoon), so make sure to go early if you plan to stay.
I got the medium caramel iced coffee with oat milk (no additional charge). Honestly would swap this for a latte - tastes just as good for a lot less money. Also got the egg/cheese breakfast sandwich which is refrigerated but they toast it for you. It’s pretty decent, the English muffin also tastes a bit sweet with a donut-like texture and aftertaste. Not much flavor elsewhere in the sandwich.
Overall, would definitely recommend if you are in the area or looking for a nice place with...
Read moreGreat spot for a coffee. I cannot recommend the coffee until I try an unsweetened flat white. Today I had a muffin and maple latte. Both yummo. This place is very typical to what I’m used to back home in Australia for a nice local cafe. Detractors are the menu for food is very limited, perhaps that is because they are new and testing out the waters with what works. I personally would make this my go to spot for brunch but there is no extended breaky menu, please put eggs Benedict on the menu, with some other hipster choices too. The other detractor is the general cleanliness needs a little attention, no one wants to see a tumbleweed of hair and dust in the restroom and out table was sticky with crumbs. Also put some greenery and warmth in the cafe itself, just feels a little clinical with the current setting. Great little kids spot too and comfy lounges...
Read moreI didn’t quite know what to expect since I had never been here - I was passing through town, and placed a pick up order. I ordered a decaf oat milk mocha and 2 vafels. They put zero chocolate in my drink so it was basically just a plain latte. This was very annoying since the mocha costs more than the latte and I had already left when I realized that it wasn’t a mocha that they made me. Just hoping they at least made it decaf and with oat milk since that costs quite a bit more. For the vafels, I figured they would be small since they were $2 each, but they were just little stroop waffles in packages. They were good, but that was the only vegan option they had for food, which was really disappointing, and it was absolutely not enough for a breakfast. I would give them a second chance for coffee, but probably will never go back due to the lack of vegan...
