After a long break I have returned to writing Google reviews, a past time which I have missed dearly. I have decided to make my return with the Hardees of Gloucester, a fairly simple establishment which, through writing the review, should allow me to brush up on my reviewing skills. (and maybe bump me to Local Guide Level 5?) Lets begin...
I was with my buddy a few years back (yes, this is not recent whatsoever). After getting a bit hungry during the late hours of the night, we decided to roll through Hardees to see if they still offered the All-Star Meal (a phenomenal series of reasonable priced meals which I hope you're familiar with). I don't really remember them still having it, which caused slight disappointment. Lyndon B. Johnson, the 36th president of the United States, once said, "Yesterday is not ours to recover, but tomorrow is ours to win or lose." I think this quote fits nicely here, as I can almost imagine it in a picture frame hanging in Andrew Puzder's office. (He's the CEO of Hardees) Perhaps the L's the company was taking with the All-Star Meal on the menu board was too much to recover? Perhaps Mr. Puzder saw a future without the All-Star Meal was a win? We'll never really know.
Well, its getting late and I'm actually getting pretty hungry as I type now, so let me just get to the point.
My buddy and I watched as the window lady poured used siracha packets from customers earlier that day into the main siracha bottle, like the one used to make drive-through orders. I was kind of horrified and steered clear of Hardees for years. Could my eyes have been deceiving me? Maybe. I just want that worker to know that I appreciate her efforts in minimizing sauces going to waste, but in this case, draining every last drop of used siracha into the main bottle for future use seems a bit extreme. In fact, it violates code 1750 for food storage and reusability (FDA CODE 1750).
Next time you bite into a Hardee's burger or any fast food burger for the matter, I want you to think about what you are allowing to enter your body. Just a thought.

Read moreThis place lost my card this morning. Be careful when giving your money… make 100% sure you gave it to them and get it BACK in return. Unacceptable that a big chain can’t have an understanding of basic work fundamentals. What happened: I hand card over, they hand drinks and food over and then CARD NEVER GOT HANDED BACK TO ME. I even waited like 2 mins after she handed me my bag cause I was waiting on my card and the young lady just looked at me like I’m was the problem. Said she “handed it back with your drink” ma’am I just handed you the card and the first thing you handed me was my drink (no card) At the end of the day people make mistakes but understand this is peoples hard earned money and the process of being a cashier/order taker is super simple and out of all the things to mess up with, losing a CUSTOMERS card isn’t something to mess up on. Plus the food was...
Read moreCountry Ham Biscuit. Done. But, if that's not your personal fav, try their biscuits & gravy, cinnamon 'n raisin biscuit, or country breakfast platter! If you're like me and you don't necessarily want a crunchy biscuit, ask for a light biscuit when ordering! Shoppe's of Gloucester has a young man taking drive-thru orders, at least on the weekend. He is the reason they get 1 star for service, and 3 stars overall. He really is that rude. He is in so much of a hurry that he interrupts with every item ordered, causing him to miss other items that have been ordered. Then, he fails to select jelly on the POS screen when it's ordered, causing the team to miss putting it in the bag; or, he himself frequently...
