A rare find n the DMV! Chicago, the World’s Epicenter for Pizza, is my home base… I have struggled mightily to find a pizza on par with my favorite Chicago Pizza joint, Ranalli’s, third generation. They take immense pride in their craft - make their own dough, sauce even sausage. Grandpa and Grams still hang (and instruct) in the vintage Lincoln Park restaurant. Their Italian dishes r authentic and made with pride.
Juliano’s is now my Ranalli’s away from home. Just superb pizza, fresh, hand cut vegetables- Real Sausage and just a wonderful sauce… not “sweet” like some poser pizza chain. Their Italian dishes r spectacular (and at a remarkable price point!). I really recommend their Ravioli… Huge portions and just delicious.
I now know that Juliano’s is owned and managed by a Proud family; who genuinely loves their customers. Just yesterday afternoon there was a mix up and the delivery man, left my pizza on a table unbeknownst to me. When I called a good hour the estimated delivery time, they told me what had happened. I called back and told them that the pizza was ice cold and the driver never told me he had left the pizza. With no hesitation Juliano’s offered to deliver a fresh pizza on them.
Wonderful n this day and age. I’d be surprised if the young lady I spoke with wasn’t an owner, but even I’d she isn’t she “feels” and conducts herself as an “Owner” that only wants what’s best for her customers…. after all, their name Juliano’s is on the door.
I love Old School establishments like Juliano’s and Ranalli’s. I am most thank I discovered Juliano’s, my DMV Chicago retreat!
Thank You. Juliano’s… Shoot, this note is making me hungry… think I’m going order some ravioli as soon as...
Read moreWent for the first time, placed an order. I asked for a Hawaiian pizza but instead of ham, I asked for Jalapeño as I do not eat meat. The lady took it upon herself to charge me for a cheese pizza and added 2 toppings which was slightly higher. There was no communication at all and I am tired of people doing stuff like this. They know what is best for the customer and should do that without being asked. I asked her to cancel my order and she asked what was wrong. I told her and she said it was cheaper that way, it clearly wasn't so I asked her to please cancel my order. I told her I gave up the ham for jalapeños and you are charging me extra for jalapeños. She proceeded to void my order but after I left I checked my pending transactions and I have 2 pending debits so I will keep my eyes open for this. If they couldn't get an extra few bucks from me they sure as hell aren't getting 30 something dollars. I am at Pizza Bolis down the street and the guy said we have a special on 2 toppings and it is cheaper. That is customer service. It isn't about the money, it's about taking liberties...
Read moreI'd be pleased if they'd get my order right. Drove there, placed an order, drove all the way home only to find out they gave me the wrong pizza order. They wanted me to drive all they way back there to prove it was the wrong order or come back the next day with the pizza, since they were closing. It was late in the evening and I was past famished. I wasn't going to give up my parking space and drive all the way back there since they would replace my pizza that night.
After all that, the pizza was disgusting.
I stopped ordering from them for about a year after they gave my raw french fries and tried to tell me they were a new brand and the were fne.
It's a shame. The wing place next door does stay open longer. Better service, correct orders, and great...
