I had a frustrating experience at McDonald’s today that I feel compelled to share. I ordered a kids’ hamburger meal for my son, but when I got home, I realized there was no burger in the box. I immediately returned to the store to address the mistake and get the burger I paid for.I wasn’t rude when I arrived, and simply asked for the missing burger along with a small fry as compensation for the error. I also requested an Oreo McFlurry with extra Oreos, which I was willing to pay for. However, the service was incredibly slow. The young lady at the drive-thru window spent about five minutes talking to a coworker about something unrelated to work before finally acknowledging me. When she did, she asked for my receipt, which I provided. After showing it to her manager, they asked for the box, but I explained it was at home with my son. I also reminded her about the Oreo McFlurry and the small fry, which she said would be taken care of at the second window. At the second window, I only received the burger. I kindly reminded the worker that I was promised a small fry. That’s when three employees came to the window, as if I were being difficult, and asked what the issue was. I explained everything again to a young man, who then asked me to pull forward while they prepared the rest of my order.
A few minutes later, they handed me the small fry—five stale fries, which were clearly old—and the Oreo McFlurry with barely any extra Oreos, despite me having paid for extra. I couldn’t shake the feeling that this was being done out of spite.
I decided to go inside and ask for a refund. When I entered, the workers simply stared at me for about 10 minutes without offering any help. Other customers were also waiting, but nobody was being attended to. Eventually, I got some assistance, but the employee took my card to the back for another 10 minutes before processing the refund.
What should have been a simple fix turned into a frustrating 35-minute ordeal at a McDonald’s that’s just down the street from me. It was disappointing, and I hope the store can improve its service and customer care...

They even caused me a neg 10 bucks in my account cause the the ice cream machine was down but you cant refund mobile orders but also wouldnt comp me with anything else. Customer service hasnt responded. There is a MUCH better one around the corner of parham/chamberlayne in atlee but its farther away. Hard choice when pressed for time otherwise I will ALWAYS go to that one. Visited 11/01 in the the drive thru. Cashier took my card and then immediately went out of view. No explanation for where he was going or what he was doing. Second employee directed me to 2nd window also without explanation. Received my food, was dismissed before i explained i needed my card. 1st cashier was there and then gone again with it, still no explanation or assurance. Received my card. Parked to check food and different employee brings forgotten fries. Keeping a watch on my account. One of the most basic things of cashiering is to NOT WALK AWAY WITH SOMEONES FINANCIAL INFO. keep trying to call the store but no one answers. Also different visit came to get a frappe before work at 8 and drive thru said 24 hours but was told they werent open when they were clearly serving other people. Funny thing is, usually when they are open most people are friendly and food is...
Read moreJust throw it in the garbage, ok! Bulldoze, sweep up the pieces, put it in here. In a single word, I would sum up this store as "unfriendly". I stopped in because my little boy needed to use the restroom. McDonald's stores usually have nice and clean restrooms. Well, this store has a restroom, but you won't want your kid using it. The store staff were not receptive to a comment about two issues (blocked toilet flooding floor, and no paper in the other unit).
They clearly have tried to make the place look better, but it feels like an old store. For some reason, the operators have this store use the same stock photos, including a night shot of the outside with a brick facade is lit up, on every property they own. That isn't a shot of every property they own, but just one.
This store as pictured having a play place, but they tore it out. Instead, there's an ugly wall with a nondescript door, not even any windows in the front of the store. If you look in from outside, you see that it looks like it was set up as a conference room or something, which doesn't even make sense to have at a McDonald's.
I was going to order something for my little guy, maybe just some chicken nuggets or something, because I don't like to just stop and use somebody's restroom and not patronize the business, but I was so annoyed with the people...
