Waffle House — Restaurant in Virginia

There were ONLY 2 things we liked here. We were greeted when we walked in & the waitress was nice, although very frazzled, (even though, including us, there were only 4 tables occupied & it was only around 9) & forgetful! We sat down & at first, felt comfortable. After less than about 5 minutes, we realized it was COLD in there! The waitress, finally, after about 15 minutes or so, got around to setting up our table, but I had to ask her to please wipe it off. She wiped & dried it, set up the table & asked what we wanted to drink. We told her what we wanted & she went to help another table. After another long wait, she came back to get our order, no drinks. We ordered & asked for our drinks. 15 minutes later, our food was delivered, STILL no drinks, so we asked AGAIN & she finally brought them. My cheese steak sandwich had almost raw bacon & all of it was COLD by the time I'd taken a few sips of water, AND the hashbrowns weren't made the way I'd asked. My friend's food was hot for about 3 bitefuls, but turned cold after that, BECAUSE IT WAS SO DAMNED COLD IN THERE! We complained about the cold, as did the 2 other tables near us. The waitress said the a.c. was off & it was just the fan blowing. After I got my hashbrowns the way I wanted them, we'd decided to just take the food home & heat it up there & eat where the temperature was above freezing. (The table behind us did the same.) Overall, we were extremely disappointed. For $30 we should have gotten better service, better food & most definitely, a comfortable atmosphere! Won't...

I normally have good food and service as well as atmosphere. I come in in the late night after work or on a day off. Today however, I had a different experience. I forgot my wallet and I was told I couldnt leave until I paid. I had politely asked to go to the bank beforehand when I realized I had forgotten my wallet. I had just come from outside before arriving and eating at the facility. I have never been told i couldn't leave and furthermore the server Amber said I should've thought about payment befoe I ate there. Ahhh excuse me!!! I left there saying that was not cool and people forget there wallets. And who says you should've thought about hat first to a customer!! I could've just walked out with no money on payment whatever but I asked and explained what was going on. Luckily had my phone in the car for apple pay.. And even I was said can i check for my phone. And I got a look. But I had it. What if I had a death in the family and I had to find some food or family member was sick in the hospital and you just dont have your thoughts together. This was totally not cool. And she said it was management. But she also said I should;ve thought about my wallet or payment...

OKI love waffle house Ya'll but not this particular one. Do not go here if they are busy You will just make yourself frustrated. They did not give us ice in our drinks yesterday and did not bring us our drinks yesterday until half our food was already eaten. I understand places get busy but I have been a server before and under no circumstances Is that kind of stuff acceptable when waffle house isn't even that big. On top of everything else, I went To the waffle house in ashland because the glen allen one was crowded and they ended up locking the door when my boyfriend and I pulled up into the parking lot to eat Last night. I called them cause I saw they were inside and the lady said they were closed for 2 hours for cleaning.... Now I know it don't take two hours to clean that little place. Stop being lazy folks! Like for real. When does a 24 hour waffle house close exactly? Oh, yeah, that's right, they're supposed to be open 24 hours, this happened at 2:15 AM last night. And i've eaten at waffle house in different places And never had the treatment like the waffle houses in ashland and glen allen, virginia area. But will never visit them again in...
