I usually love this location, but not today. Made to wait a very long time, then told to pull forward. When I politely declined, was told forcefully to move. Again I declined, stating I would just wait as it couldn't have been much longer since I had already waited so long before asked to move. Another employee comes to the window and rudely tells me I have to move. Again, I declined and was told "Oh you're just going to be like that are you?" in a horrible, rude mannor. After he left again (he tried twice to make me move) I took a picture of the number on the window so I could text and tell them about my experience. The guy runs back to the window as I was texting, opens it and says "I'll give you a better one!!" As he gives me a bratty 'thumbs up' and idiotic smile. Took me a moment to realize he thought I was taking a picture of him. I pointed to the phone number and told him I was taking a picture of the number to text about my experience there. The look on his face was priceless. He knew he had messed up at that point- but even then he decided it wasn't enough! He brought me my food (missing 2 things) fussed at me for keeping the drive though line from moving and then left. I checked the bag, beeped the horn and demanded to see a manager immediately.
Here is where the story turns around- manager comes up, apologises profusely. Brings me the missing food and refunds my money (I pulled up as soon as the manager came to the window so this all went on while everyone else was getting their food.) I told the manager all that happened and he told me it was completely unacceptable and that the guy was going to be dealt with as soon as he went back inside. Read moreOn the evening of 7/21/2025, I placed an order on the kiosk for dine in. On the receipt that I got at a later time the order was placed at 7:51PM. I waited patiently because I have worked fast food before and I know how it is. About 25 mins pass and I go up to the counter to ask what is going on with my order that I placed on the kiosk. I showed her the notification where my money got taken and showed her the app where I ordered(I checked in to get my points ) because they acted like they didn't know anything about it. She asked does it show where it was at that store and I told her I literally ordered on the kiosk. That's when she was able to pull up my receipt. I still don't know what happened with my order and all she said was it was going to be up in a few minutes. I asked for cups so we could get our drinks. My daughters friend was getting tea and the dining room was out so she asked the guy at the counter. My daughters friend then heard some cussing going on pertaining to a tea comment. She felt as if they got got mad at her for asking for the tea. About another 10 mins or so pass and I hear the lady yell out a number and set a bag on the counter. Didn't think it was my bag considering I placed a dine in order and had already been waiting well over 30 mins at that point so I would have figured they would have apologized. When no one went for the bag that was in the dining room I went up to check and it was in fact my order. I get to the table to take everything out the bag, I was missing a small fry. Read moreService in general is pretty decent, but if your paying with cash good luck getting someone to ring you up as drive-thru here gets super busy and it's all hands on deck in the kitchen and pickup window. I highly recommend MCD app or in-restaurant kiosk for placing your orders so you can cut the in-house pickup wait time on your food. You will have to use a card, phone, or smart device to pay, but it's so much faster than waiting for them to notice you when it's busy. Also, the MCD app gives you discounts on your order, and you earn free food. My orders are pretty much always accurate, and they stay busy enough that fries are fresh and hot. These manager and shift leads care about cleanliness, and bathroom is usually clean and stocked, floors swept and mopped, and tables wiped down. This location is my favorite in Lynchburg, as it almost always participates in limited edition food releases, like the WcDonald's dipping sauce or Grimace shake, and they make sure to get a decent stock of it so your odds of getting is way better than other MCDs in Lynchburg area. Unfortunately, you can't seem to order hot or cold McCafe beverages after sunset which honestly looks like an issue at all MCDs, like the infamous broken shake machine. On that note, it is easier to get milkshakes at this location, just order before 9pm though.
