Today, my wife and I visited Pho 72 located at 315 Garrisonville Road, Stafford, VA. As soon as we arrived, we waited about five minutes before a waitress attended to us. Once she took our order, the food came out fairly quicklyâwithin about 10 minutes, which we appreciated.
We ordered a Thai tea (Tra Thai) and noticed that it had a large amount of ice in it, significantly reducing the actual amount of tea in the cup. It felt like the ice was used to fill the cup rather than provide a full serving. I later requested another Thai tea, this time with no ice. The waitress did bring it out as requested, but I was surprised to see a $1.95 charge for âno iceâ on my receipt. Charging customers extra for no ice is unreasonable and should be clearly stated on the menu if thatâs your policy.
While we were finishing our lunch, we noticed something concerning: a staff member was clearing tables and collecting unused items like the bean sprouts and Thai Basil leaf that come with the pho. At one table, instead of throwing away unused sprouts and Thai Basil leaf left by a previous customer, he placed them at the bottom of his cart. At another table, we saw him throw the leftovers away. This inconsistent handling of potentially reused garnishes is unhygienic and could be a health concern. If you order pho and your sprouts or Thai Basil leaf arenât cold or fresh, you may want to request a new setâjust to be safe.
Our total bill was $58, and again, I found the $1.95 charge for no ice on the tea to be disappointing. That fee should not be passed on to the customer, especially when itâs a basic preference.
Unfortunately, due to these experiences, I donât plan to return to this location. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and makes necessary improvements in both customer service and food...

For perspective, this is the FIRST review I am giving for any restaurant. I am also an avid lover of Asian cuisine. I have had some authentic Vietnamese food while serving in the military in South Korea, and never had anytjing remotely close to that here in the U.S.
I may have to visit Vietnam probably to find something better than what I had today. In fact I asked the family to adopt me so I can be sure to get a free meal everyday.
I love fried rice but not a big fan in general, but the way I gulped down on thenrice you would think I got release from jail yesterday. It was almost embarrassing. Though I have had pho countless times, I never had it tastr so good to the point that for thenfirst time ever I saw no need to add any condiments. Even my son loved it.
We got him some friend chicken wings, and I must say, it was fried to perfection. I remember my wife saying it may have been injected with the spices, all the way to the bone. The batter was just right.
The price was also very reasonable given thr quality of the food (and plating). I would pay double for this quality!.
The wait was not bad at all for the week-end, and the stafg were friendly, in fact it felt like we were visiting their home.
When I habe visitors from out of town and I want to impress them about Stafford, I know where to take them.
And oh..I ate so fast, pictures were the last thing on my...
Read moreLast night my mother and I went to this restaurant for the first time. We were both excited to give it a shot since Stafford has limited food options. We were seated right away and got our drinks but things quickly took a turn for the worst. Once our food and appetizers arrived, I had bitten into one of the spicy chicken wings I ordered. I quickly noticed that the chicken was clearly not cooked all the way through as you can clearly see in the photo I attached that the chicken was clearly not cooked all the way through. Not to mention the food overall was pretty bland and did not look like the pictures. Hoping it was just a fluke, I tried to eat another piece of chicken only to discover that piece was also undercooked. I immediately brought this to the attention of our waiter and the female manager. She approached the table and offered to cook new chicken wings. I say no thank as I had by that time finished my main course. She then said, âWell you clearly already ate themâ. Arguing with me and my mother about the food. I looked at her in disbelief for a moment as she could clearly see how bloody and raw the chicken was. I said, âI took one bite out of two of these wings and as you can see by the blood, they are raw! So take them off of the bill please.â She got an attitude and stormed off away from our table. Long story short, I will never be back here. I strongly suggest dining elsewhere. No one should be...
