I asked them if there were any animal products in what I ordered because I avoid them. I even SPECIFIED whitefish, and he said no.
Yet, they placed narutomaki on my order, which is made of what? Processed whitefish.
I wouldn't even trust them to know their own product at this point. I'd take a wild guess it was probably in the broth, too.
This is what I hate about the holidays. I'm hostage to the restaurant decisions of my family. It seems to me the typical restaurant can't be trusted with the most pedestrian task if it requires even the slightest modicum of conscientiousness. And I have to be reminded of this EVERY TIME. I wish it were hyperbole.
Allergy sufferers, vegans, and vegetarians avoid.
Every restaurant pays about as much attention to detail as that Disney Springs restaurant that allergy-poisoned the Thai tourist's wife.
They just don't always hit the pay dirt of the natural consequences of that, and they keep acting as though they never will.
Never trust a restaurant with your well being. Especially this one. I'd give it negative...
Read moreUpdate: Thanks so much for your reply and investigating this issue as I felt terrible leaving a bad review to my fav poke spot since I moved here from Miami. I’ve visited your restaurant a few times after these incidents and I can say that I am always happy with the food and service and felt it was only right to edit and update my review. I’m a happy customer and I will be visiting you as usual every other week! Thanks again!
Terrible if you order from a delivery app.. I get take out from this place all the time and Is usually pretty good now whenever I order from a delivery app and there’s this girl working at the counter I’m lucky if I get 4 out of the 8-10 items I ordered on my food.. I called after 3 times in row of her messing up my orders and of course she didn’t know what to do cause she knows she messed up! Is sad that a good food spot can go down just cause of one person. Whenever the guy who works here I don’t know if it’s the manager or owner my bowls are delicious and just for him and the owner of this restaurant I feel bad about writing...
Read moreGreat new spot, right off Midlothian Turnpike. They still have "Grand Opening" banners on the windows. Lots of options for poke bowls and you can get them with or without raw fish (for example they have shrimp, grilled chicken, and tofu options). Very tasty with the toppings and sauces!! It was my first time there so I tried one of the "signature bowls" so I didn't have to think about what to mix in... The Tuna Tuna Surprise was great! You can also create your own bowl (Chipotle-style) and choose the base, protein, toppings, and sauces you want.
Google Maps is a little off with its location... If you pull into the strip mall and see a burger place on your left, you have to drive AROUND the building on your right. The entrance to POKE ME is literally right across from the gas station.
I really hope they stick around because there's not much else like this in the...
