I won’t be coming back to this location. I got a racist vibe from the two female workers. I had to walk up to the window to be acknowledged and order and look at my gelati. There’s barely ice cream on the top and you can see the ice cream is sloppily placed. It’s not even a good amount. and I ate down on one side to see if there’s ice cream on the bottom. As pictured, it’s literally the paper cup.
I went back to request a new Gelati. The girl with the black hair was trying to say that there was ice cream in there when there wasn’t . The girl with the blonde hair remade it for me, and it looked how it was supposed to look from the beginning. I was thankful that she remade it without the backlash and not believing me . My daughter cannot have gluten. Online most of Rita's items do not contain gluten but since it's a chain it states to ask the individual location. So when we walked up I asked the person behind the window if the ice cream was gluten free. She proceeded to say non of their ice cream was gluten free. I was surprised and asked why not she said she didn't know but didn't want to risk it. I asked if they had an allergy menu and she said no. I do believe that the ice cream should be gluten free and the employee was confused or lazy. We went to the Rita's in Leesburg who's staff ensure us which items my daughter could safely have. Rita’s is always a treat! The Italian ice is so fresh and flavorful! You can really taste the difference compared to other places. I love that they have such a wide variety of flavors, and they’re always adding fun seasonal options too. The staff here are friendly and patient, even when the line gets long.
