This was my first visit to a Rita's (a chain out of Philadelphia) and it is the products that earn this rating. The so-called Italian ice is proof that one may print anything on a menu, and that says nothing about the product. This ice was nothing more than a glorified sno-cone, with no resemblance to the smooth, flavorful, and delicious true concoction. Likewise, the frozen custard had corners cut, and the mix compares poorly to other custard offerings in the area. A milkshake made with the custard was oversweet and thin, with an almost chalky taste and unfortunate texture of melted ice cream. I got overwhelmed with my kids changing their minds 10x but these ladies were kind, understanding and patient!
