Just went there yesterday based on the previous reviews. Ordered pita bread and hummus...fresh and delicious! My husband and I also ordered a large pizza to split...also fresh and delicious! They have a great menu as well (enough variety but not overwhelming), it was hard to decide on what to eat because it all looked and smelled mouthwatering. All of the food is reasonably priced and thankfully isn't a place to make your wallet cry, which is a huge plus in nova. The place is a little hard to find using a GPS in that area but believe me, this little family business is worth finding. It's a hidden little piece of gold surrounded by business offices. It is so peaceful and relaxing when you walk in. Every single member of the staff are polite, friendly, and engaging (especially the owner!), you definitely want to see what these good people have to offer. They are the perfect example of exceeding expectations in customer service (I should know, I have worked in customer service for years). It is DEFINITELY worth stopping in for a bite. My husband and I came in a little stressed and irritated and left laughing and thankful we found this place, it just lifts your spirits! We have been searching for a place we would like to be regulars in and this place impressed us enough the first time to make it our own go-to. We will surely be back very soon!! Thank you for reading this extremely long but necessary review :) Need I say more?! GO...
Read moreWow. I was really looking forward to trying this place. The reviews made it sound so enticing, like a little hidden gem, convenient to home and with a name like Romano's... it was promising to be real Italian food... probably not as good as Nona's, but way better than the chains. So I ordered the spaghetti and meat sauce to go-- that is usually a pretty safe bet, and here it should be wonderful, as described in the menu. The woman that took the order was super friendly, and this was looking like a winner. 5 minutes later I was home and ready for spaghetti. I opened the container and... UGH. Almost no sauce, and the dab that was there consisted mainly of green pepper bits and onions. I mean that stuff is great IN the sauce, but not so good as a substitute for it. No discernible flavor except green pepper, if there was even garlic in there, it didn't make it to my plate. While Romano's was very generous with the spaghetti noodles, the (maybe) 4 tablespoons of 'sauce' didn't really cover much, it was crying out for a little tomato sauce to get in there. No salad. I didn't check the bag before I left, and apparently my request for no dressing meant no salad either. Garlic bread was okay, basic cafeteria food service stuff, not much flavor, but ok. Not as good as Pizza Hut, but could have been worse-- like the spaghetti. Again...wow. Huge disappointment-- Epic Fail. Cross this one off the list, I mean even Denny's can make...
Read moreEdit to reply to owner: The pic was of a meat lover and that's what I got. I was in the pizza business and I always made quality. You didn't make quality here. The amount of cheese was far below what a real quality pizza is. I know costs are high but you simply cannot keep lowering size and quality. If everyone was born yesterday then they don't know what quality is. I doubt you really need me to show you how to make a great pizza. There still are a few who make great pizza. One restaurant group from south Florida that cooks with coal. I'll speak with and meet with you to discuss if you want and I'll delete this review.
Original: The pizza looks nothing like the one in the first pic posted here. They skimp on the toppings. I asked for black olives and they put a few tiny pieces and charge me $2.50 in addition to a price raise of $2 that they didn't bother to update here. To be fair, the crust was very good as was the tomato sauce. There should have been more than twice as much cheese and about 50% more meats. This is an example of another business fooling it's customers and you accept it. If you have any frame of reference you would know how this compares to real quality of the past. This is unacceptable. For $22.78 I could have made great quality...
