Safeway Bakery — Restaurant in Virginia

I recently purchased both a red velvet and a carrot cake from Safeway, and I must say, there's a noticeable difference in quality compared to Wegmans, which is located nearby. The cakes from Wegmans have set a high bar with their superior quality. This experience at Safeway was underwhelming, and I believe there's significant room for improvement. It's crucial for Safeway to enhance their cake offerings to match up to the competition. I'm glad I had the chance to compare, as it highlighted what I may have been missing. I hope Safeway takes this feedback into consideration, as I would love to see an upgrade in their bakery section. Until then, I'll be reluctant to make another cake...
