The service is great, Fehdy is a great guy! This place is too dang expensive tho. I wouldn't come here again just b/c it was so expensive for a few drinks and a hookah.
The interior is kinda hip, clean great vibe to it. Great place to hang out w/friends. The couches though somewhat comfortable, have no back support, so be prepared to keep moving around trying to get fully situated. The hookah is decent to okay..they charge you 19 bucks for a hookah and then another 4 bucks to make it into a larger head...the larger head is a normal head @ all other hookah places..got me thinking that it is a rip off. They do use disposable hoses, which is a plus and their drinks are refreshing. They are served in some of the smallest glasses you can find.
So here is the breakdown
Hookah - eh..nothing to write about, except that it is way overly priced Drinks - good, served small but are tasty, again nothing to write about Atmosphere - Cool hip scene, like the interior, its nicely decorated, well ventilated, exterior looks ghettoish, but guess that is the new urban cool? Parking - SUCKS Service - Great, our server Fehdy was the man. +1 star, just for him
Fyi - they auto charge 18% gratuity so becareful when checking out and adding another 15-25% without realizing
Overall experience, the place is kinda hip dimly lit, no loud music..fun to chill in..hookah is mediocre..drinks are tasty...price -- not worth it
WAY TOO Many other choices in the area that can offer similar to better atmosphere w/o breaking the bank.
Will not be...
Read moreWent there last night - really bad experience. We ordered drinks which were served really warm and on asking for ice, we were told they were out - then shouldn’t they tell us BEFORE WE ORDER drinks that can only be consumed cold (Mango Tango?!)!!! Then we ordered BBQ wings but were served buffalo wings - on asking they told us they were out of BBQ sauce - then shouldn’t you inform us BEFORE WE ORDER BBQ wings?!? The wings got wasted since we don’t eat buffalo wings and their to-go containers didn’t have lids so our drinks got wasted too since we couldn’t take them home to add ice! The burgers were all super dry, no sauce. The RIP Chick Fil-A sandwich had a patty the size of a chicken tender. We only had a few sips of their Mango Tango drink since it was so warm but it only had mango, no peach (which is what they said it would be peach + mango). Their no-sauce wings were good. Overall, food is really not worth it. They initially charged us for the buffalo wings (that we didn’t order), but took them out of the check when we requested. Their hookahs looked much better since people seemed to be enjoying those (we...
Read moreI recently visited Mint Cafe and, unfortunately, it was a major letdown. The service, particularly from Moe, was incredibly unprofessional. From the moment we arrived, we were met with a lack of attention, poor communication, and an overall attitude that felt dismissive. Moe, our server, seemed uninterested in providing basic service. When we asked for clarification on the menu or recommendations, his responses were not only unhelpful but also rude and disrespectful. It was clear he wasn’t trained in basic customer service or hospitality. In addition to the poor service, the overall ambiance of the lounge felt uncomfortable, with dirty tables, It’s unfortunate because the location has potential, but the lack of professionalism from the staff really tarnished the experience. I’d recommend avoiding this spot unless major changes are made in both service and atmosphere. There are much better places in the DMV area where you can expect to enjoy both quality food and a pleasant...
