Sportspage Bar and Grille — Restaurant in Virginia

You can tell a lot about an establishment by little things. The warmth in the air as you walk in the door, for example. Another is the way the staff interacts with you, as a guest. Sportspage has at least two locations in the greater RVa area, and we have made the Midlothian location our "GoTo destination", whether for the joy of watching a sporting event on their many television screens with like-minded sports fans, or as a simple chance to get out of the house and enjoy one of their wonderful sandwiches or salads. We have come to feel about the Midlothian Sportspage a lot like what it would feel like to visit a place like that depicted in the TV show "Cheers". The fellow who always serves us has taken such good care of us over several years now that we see him as a real friend of our family. How often, nowadays, can one say that about staff members of the businesses they frequent? The bill of fare is always encouraging of one to try something different, and we have never been disappointed. A happy corollary of that is the prices are not likely to give one...

Sportspage was not at it's best today. We have visited the Midlothian location many times before and usually have a good experience. Our server was not terribly interested in her job, she grunted or rolled her eyes when we asked for anything, particularly when one of our cups was leaking all over the table because it had a crack. She brought back a new cup, no straw, no lemon. Our food had obviously been sitting in the kitchen quite some time as it was delivered luke warm. I didn't even eat the onion rings that I had paid extra for. Our daughter received the wrong side, we didn't even bother to ask for the correct item. She would just drop the stuff on the table and walk away before we could ask for anything else. We made sure to get there early, before 11:30, to avoid the huge lunch and football rush. They certainly were not busy when we arrived. It will be quite a while before we try going...

Whoever is eating at this place has NUMB tastebuds or none at all. The service was excellent best I’ve received, how ever the food was by far the worst food I have ever eaten. I apologize now for harsh reality I am about to unveil to you all. I was told they had the best wings in RVA so I gave them a try and almost threw up on the third wing. What made my food experience even worst was the fact that everyone around me was eating their meals like it was their last ! There is no way on earth or in heaven that this food is enjoyable . You must be a zombie or MPC. My server was amazing the only thing I faulted her with was that she told me everything on the menu was good. God bless her and her stomach.
