I arrived at this particular location to get some remote work done. I ordered a Venti cold drink and politely asked if they used any of the tumblers or cups to place the order. The Barista said yes. I used my black Venti sized tumbler with no problem. Later that afternoon I decided to order a hot drink. A different Barista, took my order (young brunette female-type). However, there was some ice remaining in the cup. Rather than asking me to toss it in the trash, I was told to toss it "outside"? Like, "outside" of the establishment! I paused to think as I found this to be extremely bizarre and unprecedented request. Do all customers who consume cold products have to toss it outside? Aren't the trash for the convenience of all customers? What triggered such a wacky request? Why wasn't I allowed to use the trash? This came off very passive aggressive and plausibly, borderline racist? Maybe? Well..I was the ONLY black customer in the starbucks over the past hour. What was I supposed to think? Honestly, I didn't know what to think but it sent very negative message that somehow as a patron, I was an exception to who can throw a Starbucks product, in their trash. With a smirk of confusion, I walked out the door and dumped it "outside" as instructed, got my order, and left. I will no longer be a patron to...
Read moreMy experience this morning with Starbucks was definitely not like any other. I had placed a mobile order and realized it had been place at another store. The young lady at the window just looked at me stupid as if she couldn’t offer to make it at their store or give any options as to how to fix it. I leave the window and call the actual store that i placed the order at and the manager on shift said that i should be able to get it remade at another store or get a refund. So i go all the way back to Starbucks again, the same one i just left, i asked if i could get the order remade and refund one of the drinks because i was taking a family member to school who i had now dropped off. The young lady again on the speaker says to me oh we can’t do that because we don’t have any recollection of that and there’s so said person by the name i have that works here. Her attitude had irritated me so i left again and called the store back to speak to the same manager again, she gave me a conclusion to my issue and apologized but im just in shocked at how the other store handled it. Now i know why they only...
Read moreThe baristas at this location are all very sweet and helpful, and the environment is clean and calm. During peak times, you can tell the employees are super focused on moving through orders and keeping the wait down for customers. They do a really good job of maintaining speed and quality, even though they often have a small team and a lot of things to juggle at once!
The interior is surprisingly small, but it’s really lovely. The main room feels tall and bright, with a few tall tables and a couple lounge seats. Most of the seating is to the side, where there are several small 2-seater tables and a long bench with larger tables (and one accessible table) — the vibe is much cozier in this area, with ambient lighting and a low ceiling. There are many outlets, making it a great place to study!
There is also a large covered patio, which has a lot of seating as well as heaters that can be turned...
