I've eaten sandwiches and wraps from this Subway many times over the years. In the past, my experience was pretty good; but experiences as of late have left me a little concerned.
Our last visit, the lady did not know how many pieces of bacon and deli meat my order was supposed to have. She toasted the bacon but did not ask me if I wanted the other meat and cheese toasted. I did. It did not get done. She almost didn't even put the cheese on. I wanted the cheese melted. The bell pepper that had been cut up had a brown spot on it but was still in the container to go on sandwiches. Gross. So, no bell pepper this time.
I asked for a wrap with guac, and she almost forgot the guac. When she went to put it on, I guess something was wrong with the previous bag? She went and got another - and put a ton of guac on it. But, I had to ask: what was wrong with the first one? Was it out of guac? Had it been properly refrigerated? I was confused.
I go to pay, and she initially wants to charge me for extra bacon. I didn't order extra bacon. She corrected it, but good grief.
Couldn't even open one of the plastic bags to protect my order on the ride home.
Frustrating. And the price was kinda pricey for one wrap.
On a previous occasion or two, the guy making the sandwiches either had allergies or a respiratory infection. He would be coughing while preparing my order. This bothered me. How would I know that the guy's deal was just allergies? How would I know that what he wasn't contagious?
The problem is, I probably won't.
Sorry, but I don't believe that sick people should be preparing food for the general public. That's how infections can spread.
Honestly, guys: my experiences used to be pretty good. They did. But now, I'm starting to wonder if I might end up sick eating here.
I've concluded that I'm better off shopping at Harris Teeter and making my own. That way, I can rest assured that everything will be properly handled and prepared.
But that said, I'm not sure what to say to construction workers / painters, etc. They may still come...
Read moreI have been to many subways over my years and I have never, ever experienced such positive customer service in my life. These folks here treat you like family - from the manager to the new employees - it shows. This is how subway should model their customer service training programs by using this particular store as an example. I have read some of the negative reviews on here and I can tell you from their lack of specific feedback it is probably competition complaining to try and bring the store ratings down, because, if you ask anyone who comes here they will tell you the experience is as good as the food. The sandwiches are rarely problematic and if you want something fixed or changed, they are more than accommodating. I will go out of my way to ONLY come to this subway store because of the staff and the experience they give me and my family when we come here. We come in once a week and I feel like Javid (the manager) knows my family like it's his own family. My family are life long subway fans because of this particular store and the experience they give us. I have a big family (6 people) and almost the entire staff have our orders memorized, it is incredible. I even forgot something on my wife's sandwich one time and Javid the manager reminded me! He saved me from getting into trouble...
Read moreI have been coming here since we moved to the local area and this is by far my preferred Subway location. Javid is the owner and he is always so friendly and upbeat. He is fast at making sandwiches and he has such a great attitude. I feel like I’m family when I walk in. If there’s a line, there’s less talking but that’s appreciated as the sandwiches need to be made. The people he employs in his store are also nice and eager to get your sandwich order right the first time. Love this place as do my kids. The store in general, the sandwich building station, and the bathrooms are always clean. I usually come in the mornings but I’ve come at lunch and dinner time too and I always get great service. One time I ordered to pick up in store and I discovered someone else had accidentally taken my order. Javid got my order recreated and I was out the door again 5 minutes later....
