Taco Time — Restaurant in Virginia

Awesome experience, delicious tacos, and can’t wait to go back!

With that said, I have to give you my first Taco Time experience…

I have been wanting to stop by as soon as I saw the word taco when they were building their restaurant. I’m a crispy taco connoisseur and look for fast food places that creates taco magic.

Lets jump in.

It was about 9:30am and it was the first time I was able to drop in since they opened. I walked in and their establishment was immaculate, clean, and organized. Everyone greeted me individually while I was walking up to the counter. I looked at the menu and I saw crispy tacos as an item. While standing at the counter Monica asked if I needed help and I asked if they were selling the crispy tacos this early. BTW, I can eat tacos anytime of the day if they are good. Monica said no, but they are selling breakfast tacos and burritos. She said the crispy tacos are on sell at 10:30am daily. She was very nice and explained all the breakfast options even though they were on the menu. I’m sure she saw I was appreciative, but was really looking to sample the crispy tacos. So, she looked me and asked, do want the crispy tacos? I said really? She said I just made the taco meat so, yes. If you want them I’ll make them for you. Yes! I said. Definitely!

Monica went out of her way to make me four crispy tacos before their normal lunch start time. They created them very quickly, with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and sour cream.

The tacos were deliciously excellent. The shells were just the right touch of crispy. Not too crispy, where they crumble as soon as you bite them but they were definitely done. Not soggy and overly greasy either. The beef was hot and seasoned just right. Not bland at all. Every piece of meat that fell from the taco made me want to grab it and eat it. When I bit all the ingredients in one bite , let me tell you…sheer taco magic creating a sense of taco euphoria. I told you I love tacos that are good. And to top it off, they gave me hot sauce that just sent me to taco heaven. I love heat and the spicier the better. But I don’t like peppery hot sauce. Their hot sauce was perfect. Just enough heat, not overbearing, and not peppery.

I will most definitely be back and highly recommend Taco Time in Winchester, VA. Monica you are the best!! Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Being from the west coast Taco Time was the bomb!! I traveled about 90 minutes to get to this Taco Time from my house (easier than the plane ride home) and it did not disappoint! The crisp meat burritos seemed larger than I remember. The cherry empanda was as delicious as ever ( I dip it in their sour cream). The hot sauce is perfection and has not changed in 20 years. I will be driving to Winchester again. The service was friendly and, unlike most places, didn't seem unhappy to be doing their jobs. Literally the greasiest taco I’ve ever eaten in my life. I had high hopes for this place because I love tacos and this is the closest establishment to my home, but I felt sick almost immediately after eating this taco and the amount of grease that just poured out of it as I was eating it should have stopped me in my tracks, but I was too hungry. They are not straining the meat after cooking it...
