Great food, trash service, especially the front end of the house. Ordered a seasonal item only to find out they sold out. So I call the next time before I try to do another online order to ensure they have it and the guy on the phone firstly doesn’t actually even open the conversation with a greeting or pleasantry which in turn makes me start shouting “hello” at the phone like a 90s drive-thru speaker. I explain why I called and that I wanted to make sure they had the item I wanted, he almost froze like he wasn’t sure what to do, he then says, I know i’ll transfer you to the pick-up counter, which instantly goes to voicemail. I call back, again no greeting, he blind transfers me again, voicemail again. I call back a third time (no greeting again) he says “I think their phone line isn't working”, let me try to walkie them. Now mind you he is working less than 10 feet from where he tried to transfer the call, he was actually in shouting range for my simple query. I guess the person he was trying to transfer me to was in arms reach because I get a cold transfer which I assume was shoving the phone into this woman’s chest, I explain “hey I wanna check to see if you have XYZ in stock before I place my online order” gets lost in my request and then realizes what I said and then asks me what I would like to order. I said ma'am I am going to do and online order she goes “OH!”. So you would think this is the end of my shenanigans with this place, I go to pick up the order and even give them extra time to package my two bakery items located at the order pick up, I walk in, take my time to look at the order in the pick up order which isn't mine, I walk to the counter and gesture to that area and advise my order isn't there, the young lady asks me, if I checked the order in the pick up area… I didn't even answer because what a stupid fricken question. She then checks the computer and struggles to find my info and says “The kitchen is going to bring it up” I ask “Why, I ordered a bakery item”, and point to the case that’s pretty much eye level to her face. She says “What?” looks to her right, see my items and passes them to me. I leave feeling like these kids are poorly trained and this wasn’t worth it. The food again is great but it will be a while before I go back,...
Read moreWe had a horrible experience with the lady assistant manager on duty yesterday (Jamie Marshall) when our group of about 12 people were sitting on the outside patio ordering food and drinks. She wasn’t accommodating to our party, she sat us on the side that was more narrow meaning we couldn’t spread our party out as we asked. She then proceeded complain that if we’d sat on the other side of the outdoor area we could move around but was very rude about it and refused to move us. She made many many rude remarks about how much space we needed instead of offering us a more ideal spot.
My friend and I are both pregnant and ordered a dessert. We then went to the ice cream place nearby just to get a scoop of a different flavor (because at Ted's they only have vanilla) while waiting for our dish to be served and sat on the chairs with our group. The manager then asked us (the two of us having some ice cream from the neighbor place at One Loudoun) to not eat outside food while sitting on their chairs. Even though we were waiting for our order to arrive and had ordered plenty of other food and drinks. Everyone was shocked by her attitude, we stood up and had to finish our small scoop of ice cream from two steps out of the area of the restaurant on the sidewalk.
The servers were surprised too, but there was nothing they could do about it. She personally came to deliver the dessert to me and my friend asking whose it was for. We replied that it was for us, the women that she had just kicked out of their seats because we couldn't finish our ice cream scoop that was not purchased at the restaurant.
We felt really embarrassed and I believe that's not how customers should be treated at all. We also heard her complain to the staff about our group outside of the bathroom even though we were just being normal patrons. I do not feel like recommending this place nor going back there again.
I will say our server Denbi did a nice job and were very kind and attentive. Although our server was great bad managers impact servers as well and this manager was not what I’d expect from a person that works in...
Read more4.5* Stopped by for lunch at Ted's Bulletin. My husband raves about their pop tarts but haven't had a chance to pop in until now. The interior is contemporary and very busy as every table was occupied with eaters---which is well deserved as the meal was delicious to the point where I wished I stopped by earlier.
We were swayed by our server Joanna to order the cinnamon bun as big as your head, which is truly as big as your head. I appreciate the fact they separate the sauce from the pastry so we can control sweetness level. We also order green juice and coffee. The green juice had the perfect amount of ginger that slight kick in the end.
We ordered: chicken and waffles, Norwegian egg Benedict, sea bass, and the kids breakfast with an additional strawberry pop tart. My husband said he would definitely order the chicken and waffles again. The Norwegian eggs Benedict was for our friend and he loved the flavor. I appreciated the vibrancy and color of that dish. The sea bass was delicious with the grilled fingerling potatoes and brussel sprouts. I remember biting into the potatoes and eyes widened at the smokey tone and really enjoyed the experience. Only reason for docking half wlstar was due to my fish having a few pieces of bone still in and poked my mouth a couple of times which isn't a deal breaker since it happens with fish.
Our daughter loved the homemade pop tarts and pancakes and if her tummy could, she would definitely eat the whole plate.
The front end was great and greeted us as we entered and one of the gentleman wearing pink also stopped by to check on how our meal was which is always appreciated. Joanna was a wonderful server and was attentive in clearing away plates to make room for our food. She was kind and a joy to have for lunch.
My husband asked at the end, shall we add Ted's to our dinner rotation? And I immediately...
