Quick to pick up the check, ignored by two employees in a dining room with three tables occupied. I've eaten here many times, this was the first time since they moved to the other side of the shopping center. Service usually is lacking, today was spectacularly bad. My drunken noodles were rather salty, a little burnt, but not terrible. I was brought a drink, then my meal, then nothing. Two waitresses for six people, no drink refill, no extra napkins, nothing. I even witnessed the young Indian waitress drop a silverware roll onto the floor, metal clanking as it hit, only to return it and place it with the other silverware rolls at the server station. When they brought the check they saw I was sucking on ice cubes, and promptly brought me a half glass of regular soda ( I was drinking diet). I did get ( one) extra napkin at the end, I divided it into four pieces so I could fulfill my needs. This place clearly has a lack of management, it's unfortunate given the food is decent, and the kitchen staff reliable. The older Asian lady clearly doesn't give a F about customers, and she has really taught the younger Indian waitress well. Training plan: take order, bring food, hide until they are done, get check, quietly ignore customer until they...
Read moreThis place used to be somewhat decent few years back when it still was in its old location. The food wasn’t great but was decent enough to be tried every now and then. However todays venture trying out an old familiar thai place turned out to be an absolute nightmare for us.Our food ended up being one of the worst chicken pad basil(fried rice) and drunken noodles we’ve ever had. The food literally felt like it was microwaved or stir fried in a matter of couple of minutes. Their chicken portions were of the smallest quantity and the texture was pretty close to being boiled. These dishes are the most common and popular thai food choice for most of us here in States and their below par quality is quite a disappointing statement to their chef.
We also ordered fried calamari which was literally thick fried dough with broken bits of squid in between. Every time we took a bite we had dough left in our mouth with all the fish slipping on to the plate.
If you’re ever craving thai food around shortpump area choose any other thai other than this and you ll avoid yourself a major...
Read moreI was REALLY excited to try this place, based on the reviews online and a friend's rave reviews to me. I work really close by and decided to try them out. I ordered my thai standard- shrimp pad thai. Easy enough, and hard to mess up. So I thought.
There was no heat at all, whatsoever. I mentioned to my friend who said oh you have to order heat like 1 pepper or 2 pepper... well why didn't the lady ask me my heat preferance when I called to place the order? Next, the eggs were severely burned, as in they were blackened, and every bite of food tasted like burned yuckiness. The dish was pretty dry, lacked any real flavor and no lime wedge was served with it (which is generally standard with pad thai). So much for satisfying my thai craving...and what a waste of $11.
I am still trying to decide whether I want to try them again, to see if by chance my dish was just a "fluke" among normally...
